Born in 1948 to a Tamil-speaking Iyengar family, Hema Malini’s contribution to the Hindi and Telugu film industry is remarkable. Queen of South, Hema ji had tied the knot with Punjab da puttar, Dharmendra in a nikaah ceremony in 1979. On October 16, 2018, when Hema Malini had turned 70, the Deol clan had hosted a get-together to celebrate her birthday and Rekha, Jeetendra, Poonam Sinha, Sanjay Khan, Zarine Khan, Neetu Chandra, Ahana Deol with husband, Vaibhav Vohra and son, Darien Vohra, Esha Deol with husband, Bharat Takhtani and daughter, Radhya Takhtani had attended the bash. Esha Deol had embraced motherhood for the second time with the birth of her daughter, Miraya Takhtani on June 10, 2019. Soon after Esha had taken her little angel home, some pictures of baby Miraya swaddled in her nani, Hema Malini’s arms were shared by the newbie mommy’s gynaecologist, Dr Kiran Coelho. The super-happy grandmother, Hema Malini could be seen posing along with her three adorable grandchildren, Darien Vohra (son of Ahana Deol and Vaibhav Vohra), Radhya Takhtani and Miraya Takhtani.
In an interview with the DNA a few months back, Hema Malini had shared interesting details about her and granddaughter, Radhya Takhtani’s relationship. Revealing that it is the little angel who often welcomes her in the morning, Hema ji had stated, “Lipstick nikaal nikaal ke mere haathon mein lagati hai, she wants to even put it on my face. When I’m doing my make-up in the morning, she must sit on my lap. She also wants my purse. It is because of her that I’m carrying a small one. I also remind myself to keep the purse super-light.”
Do you know, Hema ji has now started keeping a smaller handbag because of Radhya? Revealing the reason, the legendary actress had shared, “So, I’ve started using a smaller bag with lesser stuff inside it.
