Esha Deol is one of the most gorgeous actresses of her generation, who has enthralled audiences with her remarkable roles on the celluloid. Daughter of veteran actors, Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Esha started off her career at quite an early age, with the film, Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche in 2002. Moving on, Esha became a part of a number of hit films, including Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, LOC: Kargil, Yuva, Dhoom, Kaal, No Entry and many others. After her last big budget film in 2015, Esha took a break of four years, before making a comeback with short feature films, such as Cakewalk and Ek Duaa.

Recently, Esha Deol signed up for her next short film, Hero Heeroine, and sat down for an interview with Times Now. The actress, who created a rage back in the early 2000s with her flawless beauty and trendsetting fashion picks, retrospected on the youthful years of her career. She expressed how she feels satisfied to have experimented with a number of roles, and has no regrets whatsoever. In her words:

“They were my wonder years full of zest, innocence and everything a girl in her 20s would experience. No regrets, I’m satisfied with all I did back then.”

Esha reveals if stages of marriage and motherhood came too quickly in her life

Up next, Esha was asked to reflect if she felt that her marriage and motherhood came too fast as the new chapters of her life. For the unversed, Esha got married to her childhood sweetheart, Bharat Takhtani in 2012. The couple also have two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. It was in February 2024, when Esha and Bharat announced their mutual separation. Coming back to her response to the question, Esha highlighted that she always upheld her passion for work over everything else. Adding how love was a chance happening in her life, Esha said:

“Not really. I was always passionate about my work. I gave a hundred percent to everything I did work wise and then love just happened.”

Esha Deol opens up about managing her professional and personal life

Moving forth in the conversation, Esha Deol was asked to reveal how she plans to manage and create a balance between both her professional and personal lives, now that she is the mother of two daughters. The actress acknowledged the tough challenge of making a choice between the two, and expressed that she considers both the domains of her life as her passion. Nonetheless, Esha credited her family members for being of utmost help and immense support, whenever it is required.

Esha Deol shares her view on being compared with her parents, Dharmendra and Hema Malini

Towards the end of the conversation, Esha Deol was asked to shed her perspective on being constantly compared with her parents and actors, Dharmendra and Hema Malini, who, in all their might, have been no less than icons. Clarifying whether such comparisons have proven disadvantageous for her career, Esha explained:

“Everything is part of being in this profession and these times it’s the one-point target for many. But that’s not my focus. My vision is very clear! I’m born to the most admired lovely parents. Blessed.”
