Bollywood actress, Esha Deol got separated from her husband, Bharat Takhtani, earlier this year. However, the duo didn't reveal the reason behind their separation. Esha and Bharat were married for over a decade, and they have two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. If rumours are to be believed, it was Bharat's infidelity that led to his divorce from Esha. Now, Esha opened up about the red flags in a relationship.
In an interview with Hauterrfly, Esha Deol was asked to list the red flags a person should look out for in relationships. Responding to this, she said that one should vibrate on the same frequency as their partner, and if they feel they can't click with the person, they should leave. Esha added that she was not talking about finances and said:

“When you’re not vibrating on the same frequency as the other, there’s no way that you can click with the person. You should rather attract or be attracted to a person who is on the same vibrational level as you. I’m not talking about financial…”
Esha Deol shared that a person's lifestyle should match that of their partner, or else that can create a problem. The third red flag, according to her, is having a ‘roving eye’. She explained that a man should focus on his partner rather than being attracted to other women. She said:
“Second thing is, if the lifestyles don’t match. That’s a big red flag. If one person wants to sit at home and the other wants to go out, it’s not going to happen. There’s nothing wrong with both lifestyles… You’ve got your arm candy with you, but you’re seeing eye candy, bro. That’s not good.”
Further in the interview, Esha Deol also listed some green flags that a girl should look for in a guy. She shared that a person is not obliged to do things to make the other person happy to make the relationship work. She added that she likes her own company and values her personal space. Esha said:
“I think friendship is the key to having a good relationship with anyone. You’re not obligated to please the other person, you’re not obligated to do things to make the other person happy. Green flag is also being with someone you can spend time with without doing anything. I really value my personal space, my dream world, my la la land. I like my own company. I can entertain myself all day long. To people like us, that space should be given…”
Esha Deol got separated from her husband, Bharat Takhtani, leaving the entire nation shocked by announcing the news of them parting ways. There were rumours of their separation in the media after Bharat missed Hema Malini’s 75th birthday celebrations, and the two completely stopped making any public appearances together. Finally, on February 6, 2024, Esha and Bharat shared a joint statement via the Delhi Times to publicly announce their divorce.
