Farah Khan is known for calling a spade a spade as she never minces her words. The ace filmmaker recently attended the Mumbai premiere of Homebound, starring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. However, she soon became a topic of discussion after a video showed her ignoring Salman Khan’s brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Farah Khan opened up about the news of her ignoring Aayush Sharma at the premiere of Homebound. Addressing how fake controversies could lead to bigger problems, Farah said:
“This new trend of making anything into a fake controversy has to stop!! Last week, it was that Karan and I ignored Aayush on the red carpet, when in reality we had just met him down before coming up!! It can genuinely cause problems between people; thankfully, I pick up the phone and call them before it gets worse! But people need to stop doing this!”
The whole fiasco began during the Homebound premiere's red carpet. In a video, Aayush was seen posing for photos when Karan and Farah walked past him without acknowledging the actor. Karan and Farah’s gesture sparked speculation that they intentionally ignored Aayush. The clip garnered a lot of attention, prompting netizens to troll Farah.
When Farah came across a video presenting the same information, she didn’t hesitate before responding and gave a fitting reply. Taking to the video’s comment section, she wrote:
“Pls stop writing nonsense.. i can never ignore anyone.. least of all Ayush. Just shot a vlog with him n Arpita.. just didn’t see him in all the rush.. making it slow motion just to make it look bad?”
Aayush Sharma is an actor who is married to Salman Khan’s sister, Arpita Khan. He made his acting debut with Loveyatri in 2018 and was also featured in Antim: The Final Truth, which also featured Salman. The actor grabbed attention after undergoing two back surgeries to recover from an injury sustained while shooting for Ruslaan. Posting a picture after his surgery, the actor wrote:

“It finally caught up with me while shooting for my current movie, and things took a turn. Movements that once felt like second nature — dancing, stunts, even the simplest stretches — became restricted. What I thought was temporary turned out to be far more serious. The biggest mistake? Taking the pain lightly and hoping it would heal on its own. But now here we are. After two surgeries, I’m officially on the road to recovery."
What do you think about Farah Khan’s take on reports of her ignoring Aayush Sharma?
