Gaurav Khanna Tells Farah Khan He's Colour Blind, She Mocks, Netizens Find It, 'Insensitive..'

Farah Khan, Bollywood's famous choreographer is touting controversy. This time, it is not because of her outspoken attitude on her vlogs but because she made fun of Gaurav Khanna after he revealed he was colour-blind. The Anupamaa fame actor is playing his cards well on the cooking reality show, Celebrity MasterChef India. The judges of the show are Chef Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna. Netizens found Farah insensitive towards Gaurav when he shared with her about being colour-blind.

Farah Khan says 'what rubbish' to Gaurav Khanna as he opened up on his colour blindness

There have been multiple videos from the sets of Celebrity MasterChef India that floated online where Farah was seen commenting, 'What rubbish'? to Gaurav as he shared he was colour blind. The contestants on the show's sets were challenged to make Farah's favourite dish, roasted chicken. Gaurav was seen presenting the dish, the colour of which looked off to judges Vikas and Farah. Gaurav then shared that he was colourblind, which shocked the judges as well as Farah. She said, 'What rubbish' when Gaurav said:

"Kuch log jaante hai ki mujhe colour blindness ka problem hai."

Farah, after making the 'what rubbish' comment, made fun of Gaurav. She pointed at Vikas' orange coloured jacket and asked the actor if he thought that the colour of the jacket was blue. 

Netizens call Farah Khan's 'what rubbish' comment as insensitive

Netizens felt that the judges, along with Farah, were incredibly ignorant. They felt that he did not deserve sympathy for his weakness, and he never sought it himself. However, that doesn’t give her the right to mock him or react the way she did. One user also shared, "She is too insensitive. And yes sometimes I noticed this, she mostly points out from where faisu came, and gives like disgust expressions. I cannot expect any better from Farah." A second user also wanted Farah to receive education on colour blindness or colour vision. Talking about colour blindness, the user shared that colour vision deficiency is the decreased ability to see colour or differences in colour. Farah was also hailed as an unempathetic person.

When Gaurav Khanna had earlier revealed of his colour blindness problem

Previously, a clip from the sets of the cooking reality show had gone viral where the actor was seen trying his hands at making prawn curry. He had become vulnerable and openly shared that he was colour-blind. The actor could not understand the colour of the prawn curry because of his colour blindness issue. Gaurav had said:

"Mujhe pata nai kaise ban raha hai. Sirf colour se karna hai lekin problem yeh hai ki mei colour blind hu. Kahi log jante hai aur kahi log nai jante yeh baat ko. Yeh hoh gaya hai kya. Mei khata nai hu prawns."

When Gaurav Khanna revealed his colour blindness issue was not curable

In an interaction with India Forums, Gaurav shared that his colour blindness issue was not curable. When he goes to a new city or a place, he is unable to distinguish between colours. Talking about Gaurav, he is giving a tough fight to Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni, Tejasswi Prakash, Nikki Tamboli, and Faisal Shaikh, who are a few of the contestants on the show.
