Now, filmmaker, Farah Khan got irritated with the paparazzi for their over-intrusive nature.

The sudden demise of Satish Shah, the beloved actor who won hearts with his comic timing and versatility on TV and films, has left his near and dear ones shattered. On October 26, 2025, many celebrities, including the veteran actor’s co-stars, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-stars, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan, and Rajesh Kumar, producer, JD Majethia, filmmaker, Ashoke Pandit, and Farah Khan, gathered to pay their last respects to the actor. The funeral was held at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle.

In a now viral video, the Om Shanti Om director, seemed visibly upset with the paparazzi. In the video, Farah was seen leaving the event after paying her final respects to the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor. While walking out, she paused for a moment to have a small word with Ashoke Pandit. However, as she approached the exit gate, she noticed paps filming her. This made the director irritated, and she was quoted as saying:

"Bas yahi karo tumlog… Poora time yehi karo."

The last rites of the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai star were held in Mumbai on October 26, 2025, at Pawan Hans Crematorium, Vile Parle, following a public viewing at his Bandra residence. The funeral saw a heartfelt turnout from many Indian celebrities, especially the veteran actor’s Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-stars and producer, who paid their respects and even lent a shoulder to his body.

Traditionally, a son performs this duty, but as Satish Shah and his wife, Madhu, were childless, his on-screen son, Rajesh Kumar, stepped in to carry the body. Filmmaker, Ashok Pandit also assisted in the last rites. Anupamaa fame, Rupali Ganguly, was inconsolable while Ratna Pathak Shah struggled to hold back her tears.

Ashoke Pandit confirmed the death of Satish Shah

A few hours after the death of Satish Shah on October 25, 2025, Ashoke Pandit took to his Instagram handle and confirmed the news of Satish’s tragic passing at the age of 74. Sharing a picture of the veteran, he wrote that the veteran actor was rushed to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital, where he took his last breath. He also mentioned that the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai star had expired due to kidney failure. The caption on the post can be read as:

"Sad and shocked to inform you that our dear friend and a great actor Satish Shah has expired few hours ago due to kidney failure. He was rushed to Hinduja Hospital, where he breathed his last. A great loss to our industry. Om Shanti. Satish’s Resident address. Satish shah 201/202 Gurukul 14 kalanagar Bandra East Mumbai 400051."
