Farah Khan is Bollywood's famous choreographer, producer, filmmaker and now a YouTuber. She is known for her funny nature and always living in the moment. However, her personal life growing up wasn't as rosy as many may think. Farah Khan's tough childhood left a scar in her mind, which made her work super hard to make a name in the industry. But she never let anyone to take pitty on her just because her growing up phase wasn't easy.
Earlier, in an interview with Simi Garewal, Farah Khan talked about her father, Kamran Khan, who was a famous stuntman and filmmaker. However, by the time Farah turned five, her father lost his fortune after his films flopped. Farah Khan and her brother, Sajid Khan's growing up years weren't happy, and they witnessed their father dying penniless. After this, Farah Khan had to take responsibility for earning money at the mere age of 15.
Farah revealed that she can make her childhood look like a tragedy, her traumas and her parents splitting up. She also went on to say that her father died penniless with just Rs. 30 in his pocket. However, she chose to remember him with happiness. She said:
"I could make a tragedy out of my childhood, my trauma, and my parents splitting up. My father literally died penniless with just Rs 30 in his pocket. You can get bitter and angry with the world, but I choose to remember the happy times."
Not only this, Farah revealed that she and Sajid share funny stories about their childhood and how when their father would get really angry, he would take out his gun, and they all would run for cover. Farah said:
"We remember that time with a lot of laughter. Sajid and I tell funny stories about how sometimes my father would get really angry, take out his gun, and everyone would run for cover. It has all become a funny story now, which I think is a nicer way to remember it."
When Farah Khan's father, Kamran's film, Aisa Bhi Hota failed at the box office, her family's life changed. In an old interview with Karan Thapar, Farah revealed that the film was released on Friday, and by Sunday, they were below the poverty line. She stated that she was just six years old, and her life turned upside down as everything changed.

Farah revealed that only their house remained, and everything from the car to her mother's jewellery and their gramophone was sold out. She said:
"Only the house remained, and everything else went. The cars, my mom’s jewellery, the gramophone—everything. Finally, we were left with an empty house, two sofas, and a fan. We even rented out the drawing room for a few hours. People would come, organize a kitty party, play cards in the room, give us some money in return, and leave. That’s how the house was running for a couple of years."
Well, Farah is an inspiration to all those who have a difficult life. It is better to remember the happy times than to recall the bad days.
