Farah Khan Cleared Her Cook, Dilip's Debt And Helps Him Build House For Free, 'I Am Trying To Get..'

Farah Khan is a popular filmmaker and choreographer, who has given Bollywood some iconic hits like Om Shaanti Om, Tees Maar Khan, Main Hoon Na, Happy New Year and more. Since the past one year, the filmmaker has turned into a full-time YouTuber, who entertains the audience with playful and candid cooking vlogs, along with her cook, Dilip. Well, recently Farah Khan opened up about Dilip and shared how she changed his entire life. 

Farah Khan paid off Dilip’s debt

Recently, the famous choreographer, Farah Khan sat down for a candid conversation with actress, Soha Ali Khan on her YouTube podcast, All About Her. During their candid chat, Farah Khan opened up about Dilip’s life before YouTube success and shared that he had a lot of debt before, which Farah cleared and since almost a year, he has not taken any loan and is trying to build a good life for his family now. She was quoted as saying:

"But he had a lot of debt, I don’t know from where, so one year has gone by just paying off his debt and telling him that he cannot take a loan on interest anymore because whatever I am giving him is going down a well. So I have cleared all his debts, and now he’s building his house."

For the unversed, a few months ago, Farah Khan had revealed that she had enrolled Dilip’s children in English-medium school, and also helped one of his sons pursue a culinary course. Now, during a chat with Soha Ali Khan, Farah Khan also mentioned that Dilip is now trying to build a house without taking a loan and the choreographer is trying to find brands so that the house can be built for free. In her words:

"I am trying to get many brands involved so that we give him the house for free."

Dilip’s salary as Farah Khan’s cook

For those who don’t know, a few months ago, Farah Khan and her cook, Dilip had once visited Ashneer Grover’s house for one of her YouTube vlogs. During the same vlog, Ashneer’s mother recalled an incident from Delhi, where Dilip used to get Rs. 300 for working. Later, he started working with filmmaker, Farah Khan and his initial salary was Rs. 20,000. However, as the conversation continued, Farah Khan revealed that Dilip started with Rs. 20,000, but now he earns a lot more than that. She also mentioned that a part of the YouTube earning also goes to Dilip.

Farah Khan began her YouTube journey in April 2024, where she met several celebrities, cooked food together and shared a fun conversation. Despite the fun format, it was Dilip's on-screen presence that grabbed attention. Soon, their YouTube channel became one of the most popular ones. Within a very less time, Farah Khan and Dilip appeared in big-brand campaigns, including Myntra alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Kiara Advani. Apart from this, Farah also took Dilip to Maldives, which marked his first international trip.
