Farah Khan Says She Thought Her Hubby, Shirish Kunder Was Gay, Netizens Feel, 'Relation Is Weird..'

Farah Khan has been happily married to her life's love, Shirish Kunder, for 20 years. The couple is parents to three children, and unlike the popular choreographer, Shirish does not like to stay in the limelight. He likes to be away from the spotlight. Now, Farah had spoken on Archana Puran Singh's YouTube channel and revealed she thought her husband was gay. The interview snippet went viral on Reddit and netizens have mixed reactions.

Farah Khan shares she thought Shirish Kunder was gay

For the unversed, Shirish was an electronic engineer before he entered the Hindi film industry. He had reportedly also worked with Motorola for 4 years. He thought of entering Bollywood and reportedly first worked as an editor. He had met Farah on the sets of Shah Rukh Khan's film, Main Hoon Na and fell for her. While speaking to Archana, Farah shared she had doubts about Shirish's sexuality and hated him. This was because when he used to be upset, he used to not talk and just become silent. This used to affect the choreographer. Farah said:

"I thought he was gay for six months. He used to get angry earlier."

Farah also added in their relationship, Shirish never apologised to her in 20 years of their marriage. Archana asked who had taken the initiative to say sorry after a fight, to which the choreographer said he was never wrong. She shared that if she glanced at her phone while he was talking, he would walk out.

Netizens have mixed reactions to Farah Khan calling Shirish Kunder gay

One netizen noted that Farah and Shirish's relationship is weird. When her mother died, Shirish was nowhere to be seen. Another one said that "She was just goofing around. And the fact that she said Shirish is a silent man and never apologises was not part of the same conversation. She was just sharing an anecdote when she said initially she thought he was gay. and then she was asked who says sorry first in a fight, that's when she replied Shirish never says sorry and stuff." A third one told Farah to keep spilling tea on others but leave her husband and kids out of it.

When Farah Khan wanted to run away within one year of marriage

Shirish worked with Farah in Main Hoon Na and reportedly had a low salary. She had no idea about his feelings for her. It was on the sets of the movie that he proposed to her. They used to have many arguments; however, one day, Shirish made the guts and told Farah that 'darling' if she didn't want to marry him, then move away. He does not want to waste his time looking at her. It was on December 9, 2004, that they got married. They are blessed with Czar, Anya and Diva Kunder. Once, when Farah was on Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti, she shared that she wanted to run away in her first year of marriage. In her words:

"I wanted to run away in the first year of my marriage because it’s very difficult to adjust."
