Farah Khan took us inside her blue-themed newly renovated bedroom at her Mumbai residence in a conversation with the design brand Livspace, which helped her in the renovation process. The video began with Farah stating that for her, whether it’s a Bollywood film or the interior of one's dream home, aesthetics are everything. She also revealed that she had moved into the house with her family 12 years ago but had to refurbish her bedroom due to water leakage issues and many more that ruined the wooden flooring.

Farah also gave insight into her previous bedroom, which had orange headboards, double beds and many other elements that required a change, according to the filmmaker. Farah's newly-refurbished bedroom is now designed with a calming blue hue, which is also the choreographer-director’s favourite colour tone. Further, her new room features a custom-made wardrobe exclusively for her designer bags, low-maintenance flooring, and ample storage space for various kinds of her belongings, and it provides her with a sanctuary kind of vibe amidst her hectic life on the noisy sets. She explained:
“I wanted my bedroom to be a little dark, it is my sanctuary, because I have a very hectic life and on the sets it’s very noisy so I wanted a room with a zen vibe. Unlike me, I wanted my room to be serene and calm.”
Apart from muted-toned decorations, Farah's bedroom's floor was also upgraded from wooden to marble-like tiles. Moreover, the room featured aesthetic Chesterfield chairs, a huge painting of hers, a cosy dressing table, a lavish TV cabinet, storage places to keep her candles and many other elements, making it a blissful place to spend time in. “I have lived in a house that was the size of the carpet of her bed. For me, to get a bedroom that is bigger than the house I used to live in is like a dream come true. I wanted to be opulent. I am done with bohemian life. In my 50s, I wanted hotel-suite vibe.”
In the same video, Farah also showed her custom-made wardrobe exclusively for her designer bags, which were gifted by her friends like Karan Johar. Farah also mentioned that the wardrobe has a separate compartment for her cheap bags while humorously referring to herself as “cheapy”. Indeed, the wardrobe featured some swanky arm candies from luxurious brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and many others. Talking about the same, she said:
“I have very kind hearted friends like Karan Johar who have gifted me various designer bags over the years. Like, if I do a song for him, he would gift me a bag. But I didn’t have space to keep them, so I wanted a wardrobe only for my expensive bags.” The Main Hoon Na director also revealed that she got a made in the wardrobe

"Happy 50th to @karanjohar… most sporting, witty and intelligent friend I have. PS- apologise for the number of times I said ‘Oh My God’."
