Fardeen Khan has been helming all the headlines at the moment, ever since the first announcement was made about his much-awaited comeback to cinema after 14 years. For the unversed, the actor, who was last seen in 2010 in the film, Dulha Mil Gaya will be returning to the celluloid with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first Netflix-series, the period drama titled Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The first visual of the actor acing a royal role has already created a stir on the internet, and it was recently that the film’s captivating trailer was released, that gave a peek into the role essayed by Fardeen. Amid it all, the actor turned emotional and made some candid remarks.
On April 9, 2024, the trailer of the anticipated web series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar was released and surely the gripping narrative has already captivated a zillion hearts. The makers also hosted a trailer launch event for the same, that was attended by the entire cast of the series, including Fardeen Khan, who is going to make his comeback with the project. Addressing the 14 years long gap that he took, the actor revealed how grateful he feels for being bestowed with such an opportunity to work with not just a great filmmaker, but also a stellar star cast and the project being released on Netflix. In his words:

“It’s been a very long gap for me, it’s been almost about 14 years. I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity to work with this stellar star cast and a platform like Netflix, and of course the man himself, Sanjay Leela Bhansali.”

Moving further in the same event, Fardeen gave a sneak peek into the kind of character he would be essaying in the upcoming film and remarked what drew him towards the same. Fardeen mentioned that the character which he would play is something that he has never done before. Moreover, he added that at the age which he is in real life, the role offered to him suited perfect. Furthermore, Fardeen divulged that it was a daunting experience for him to work with a filmmaker like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, since the latter focusses on minute details. Turning emotional, he expressed:
“For me, something I have never done. It was the perfect role for me, I felt, at the age I’m in, to come back to screen. It’s daunting to work with him; at the same time when you see it all together, it just all makes sense. I’m getting emotional now.”

Back on April 6, 2024, makers of the film, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar dropped the first-ever glimpses of the male characters that would be a part of the series. Apart from Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman and Taha Shah Badussha, it was the glimpse of Fardeen Khan that melted a zillion hearts. In the glimpse, the actor could be seen flaunting a Nawabi avatar and his character name was revealed to be ‘Wali Mohammed’.

Fardeen Khan was hailed as one of the most-loved chocolate boys back in the days, as it was with his youthful handsome looks and stunning charisma that the actor made women go weak in their knees. In his personal life, Fardeen got married to his ladylove, Natasha Madhvani in 2005. For the unversed, the latter is the daughter of veteran actress, Mumtaz. Together, the couple welcomed their children, Diani and Azarius into their lives. As of 2023, several reports were rife that the duo had parted ways. Nonetheless, no official confirmation has been given by either of them.
