According to a report in Bollywood Life, Farhan Akhtar and his girlfriend, Shibani Dandekar, are going to be the first celebrity couple to tie the knot in 2022. It is also reported that Farhan and Shibani had earlier planned a grand wedding in Mumbai that was supposed to be held in March 2022. But after the sudden rise in the numbers of COVID-19 cases, the celebrity couple has decided to go for an intimate wedding ceremony. Farhan and Shibani have been in a live-in relationship for some time now, and the couple is hoping to get married before everything shuts down completely amid COVID-19 and Omicron scare. The report stated:
"Farhan and Shibani were planning a lavish wedding in Mumbai on March 2022. However, now they will keep it low-key as the COVID cases have been rising once again, and there are many Bollywood celebs, too, who have been tested COVID positive. And so the couple has decided to get married among friends and family. Farhan and Shibani are living together and they don't want to delay their wedding amid the pandemic, and so, they thought to keep it an intimate affair."
The report further stated that Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have already finalised the wedding venue and booked a 5-star hotel for their wedding festivities. Talking about Farhan and Shibani's wedding outfits, it is reported that the couple has gone for Sabyasachi outfits. The report further revealed:
"The couple have booked a 5-star hotel as their wedding venue and have almost finalised everything. Shibani and Farhan, too, have chosen Sabyasachi outfits (like Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal) for their big day and will keep it minimal with pastel colours."

On August 27, 2021, Shibani Dandekar had turned a year older, and Farhan Akhtar had penned a heartmelting wish for her. The filmmaker had taken to his IG handle and had shared a monochrome picture with her. With their arms wrapped around each other, they had looked breathtaking. Along with the picture, Farhan had penned a sweet birthday wish for, and it could be read as:
"With all my heart... happy birthday Shu. Love you."
However, on the other hand, the birthday girl, Shibani Dandekar, had taken to her IG stories and had dropped a picture of her neck with Farhan's name tattooed on it. The gorgeous actress had got her soulmate's name inked as a birthday gesture. Atop the picture, she had written:
"Inked by the best."
