After becoming a mother for the first time, Masoom appeared on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s talk show, What Women Want in May 2023. In the episode, the influencer talked about the restrictions that were levied on her when she was pregnant with Zavi. Masoom revealed that her father asked her not to wear sleeveless clothes. In her words:
“There were a lot of restrictions when it comes to dressing up. My dad literally wasn't okay with me wearing sleeveless. So, my grandfather would always tell my dad, ‘let her wear what she wants.’”
Masoom recently released her memoir, She’ll Never Make It, which is a self-help guide for those who want to pursue unconventional careers. During an interview with Forbes, she revealed how she made a name for herself in the highly competitive content creation industry. When questioned why people did not take her seriously, Masoom said:
“I don’t think my age and my gender were seen as my strengths. I was an 18-year-old girl from Mumbai when I started out. I saw this as my strength, but it was viewed as my weakness. The industry that I wanted to make a mark in (social media influencing) was also not something that was celebrated in the past. If I was talking about building an e-commerce company, it was something that was very disruptive. It wasn’t even about me. People had doubts of the industry as a whole.”
We send our heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Masoom Minawala and her family as they are all set to welcome another mem.
