Fatima Sana Shaikh is one of the famous actresses in Bollywood. The diva reigns in millions of hearts, courtesy of her incomparable acting mettle and divine looks. The diva started her acting career as a child artist and acted in movies like Chachi 420 and One 2 Ka 4. And it was her role as the famous boxer, 'Geeta Phogat', in the film, Dangal, that brought her immense fame and recognition. Apart from that, Fatima was seen in several other movies like Ludo, Ajeeb Daastaans, and Modern Love Mumbai, among others. Fatima will be next seen in the movie, Dhak Dhak, alongside Dia Mirza, Sanjana Sanghi, and Ratna Pathak Shah.
A few days ago, Fatima Sana Shaikh's co-star, Dia Mirza opened up about the toughest time while shooting for their film, Dhak Dhak, when the former used to get epileptic attacks. And now, in a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Fatima opened up about her health updates. The actress also heaped praises on Dia Mirza for being supportive of her. Talking about her current health update, Fatima Sana Shaikh mentioned that she has been living with epileptic attacks for a long time, and it's not a big event for her as she works even after undergoing attacks.

In the same interview, Fatima Sana Shaikh revealed how she has received support from the cast and crew of his upcoming film, Dhak Dhak. The diva mentioned that she is touched by the way her co-star, Dia Mirza cared for her, as not many people know about the situation that one has to face because of epilepsy. Revealing how she received support from everyone on the sets, Fatima shared:
"I am touched that Dia cared because a lot of people don't have the awareness…the person who goes through the episodes knows how difficult it is. Everyone on the sets was very supportive. I always inform everyone that I have epilepsy and might get an episode so I need a break.”
Earlier, during an interview with News18 Showsha, Dia Mirza recalled one of the toughest days from the shooting of Dhak Dhak when Fatima Sana Shaikh had epileptic attacks. The actress shared that she used to sob while looking at Fatima and her sheer dedication and commitment as an artist. Dia shared that Fatima used to get up soon after having seizures and perform her scene. Dia could be quoted as saying:
"The oxygen was thin, the routes were hard and Fatty had a few situations where she had an epileptic attack. But within seconds, she got up and did one of the most dramatic and significant scenes in the film. I’ve sobbed not because she’s a brilliant performer but looking at her sheer commitment as an artist.”

It was on November 14, 2022, when Fatima took to her Instagram handle and hosted an 'Ask Me Anything' session, wherein she talked broadly about her illness. The Dangal actress mentioned that the first time she came to know about the same was when she was busy shooting for Dangal. She also shared that she had an episode of it, and when she woke up, she was in the hospital. Fatima also shared that she was in denial for the first five months of it. She also replied to a question that was about a myth pointing out whether smelling stinky shoes can cure the illness.
