For the first time, Bollywood actress Fatima Sana Shaikh opened up about her struggle with epilepsy. The gorgeousness talked about how she has been handling it with medications and workouts. She hosted an 'Ask Me Anything' session to talk about her fight with epilepsy. There is a lot of myth and stigma around epilepsy, and on National Epilepsy Day, Fatima tried raising awareness from her end.
For those who don't know, Fatima began her career as a child artist. She has worked in the films, Chachi 420 and One Two Ka Four. However, she rose to fame with her acting stint in the biographical film, Dangal, wherein she portrayed the character of Geeta Phogat, a famous boxer.

On November 14, 2022, Fatima took to her Instagram handle and hosted an 'Ask Me Anything' session. When a user asked Fatima when she learned about her illness, the actress replied it was during the shoot of her film, Dangal. She also shared that she had an episode of it, and when she woke up she was in the hospital. Fatima also shared that she was in denial for the first five months of it.
Fatima also talked about the myth that revolves around epilepsy. When a user asked her if it is true that in epilepsy, a person should smell stinky shoes. The actress straight away denied it. She shared that it is a myth, and no one wants to wake up to the smell of stinky shoes as the whole episode is already traumatic.
