Actress, Shamla Hamza has been honoured with the Kerala State Film Award under the category of Best Actress. Shamla expressed a lot of joy for getting the award for her second movie named, Feminichi Fathima. Now, a video has gone viral showing Shamla's parents burst into tears as soon as they saw their daughter receive the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress. Shamla had posted the clip a while back on her Instagram handle, and it was all things adorable.

The world has not stopped talking about Shamla Hamza's work in the movie, Feminichi Fathima. She did not have any background in the acting sphere and got her role in the movie luck by chance according to an India TV report. A while back, Shamla took to her Instagram handle to share a story of her parents seeing the clip of her being felicitated with the Best Actress award. Her father was seen wearing a lungi and a striped t-shirt, holding the phone in his hand as he watched the video of Shamla's achievement. Shamla's mom was seen wearing a maxi with a dupatta on her head. When her name was announced, the parents held their chests, cried, and smiled. The clip was all things emotional, and Shamla, in her caption she penned:

"Missed it live, but this reaction video means everything. Uppa & Umma’s innocent joy and tears — pure love."

Shamla, earlier in an interview with the ANI, shared how Feminichi Fathima was just her second movie, and she got a chance to be a part of the project due to 1001 Nunakal. Shamla expressed her gratitude to the team and to her director, Fasil Muhammed, who believed in her. For the unversed, Feminichi Fathima has been directed by Fasil, who also received the Second Best Film and Best Debut Director awards. This was at the 55th Kerala State Film Awards, and the film was made to be one of the standout movies of the year.

Who is Shamla Hamza?

For the unversed, Shamla was born in Palakkad, Kerala, where she was raised, and her path to cinema was nothing short of extraordinary. Shamla grew up in Dubai, where she was far away from the light, and then decided to come back home as a star. Before Shamla had entered the movies, she had found her interest as a radio jockey in Kerala. That experience had helped her grow into someone who was comfortable sharing what she felt. Shamla worked hard to develop her skills in acting and shared:
