Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's elder son, Aryan Khan was arrested on October 3, 2022, for the alleged consumption of drugs. It was after a raid by the NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) officials on a Goa-bound cruise ship, where Aryan was partying with his friends. And after 26 days, the Khan family had finally breathed a sigh of relief when Aryan was granted bail by the Mumbai High Court and was given a clean chit.
According to multiple reports, a press note was released for the same from the NCB's DDG (Ops) Sanjay Kumar Singh. The notice mentioned that Aryan Khan got a clean chit because of insufficient evidence. However, even after the NCB gave Aryan Khan a clean chit, several troubles are coming on the way of former NCB officer, Sameer Wankhede. For the unversed, he was one of the prominent investigators on Aryan's case.

On August 14, 2022, Sameer Wankhede received several messages from a Twitter account named 'Aman' like "Tumko pata hai tumne kya kiya hai, iska hisaab tumko dena padega", "Tumko khatam kar denge". Soon, Sameer registered a complaint at the Goregaon police station in Mumbai. A source close to the NCB told ETimes that Sameer and his wife, Kranti Redkar, received similar death threats. The source said:
"On August 14, after registering an FIR as per SC/ST prevention of Atrocities Act on Nawab Malik, Sameer Wankhede attended a flag hoisting ceremony on August 15 and later visited Chaityabhoomi at Dadar. After that he started receiving death threats through Twitter. The said handle, from which Wankhede received the threats on twitter, was created just a day ago. On August 19, a complaint was registered regarding the same at Goregaon Police Station. Earlier Wankhede's wife Kranti Redkar had also received multiple death threats on various social media platforms."
Sometime back, Aryan was spotted partying at a nightclub, which also created a rumpus on social media. In a video which made its way on the internet, the celeb kid was seen drinking up and following this, he was found putting up his face mask. However, the celeb kid's glimpse at the party while going through a period of trials in court didn't go well with the netizens, and he had to face a huge trolling. On October 28, 2022, when Aryan was granted bail, many B-town celebs and SRK’s fans had rejoiced in happiness along with the Khan family. However, it was Gauri, who couldn't stop her tears from coming out and broke down while falling on her knees. As per a report in India Today, a source close to the family had revealed Gauri’s reaction after Aryan’s bail was announced. The source had said:
“SRK got calls from everyone from Salman Khan, Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar. Gauri was heard crying on the phone to her friends Maheep Kapoor and Seema Khan, who have been with her daily on the phone giving support. Gauri broke down as soon as the text came in regarding the bail. She was in tears and was seen falling on her knees and praying. Suhana Khan spoke to Aryan's friends in the US and UK and thanked them for their support in the last few weeks."
For the unversed, Sameer Wankhede's investigation was highly criticised by former Maharashtra minister, Nawab Malik. The minister even alleged corruption charges on Wankhede and speculated about his forged caste certificate.
