According to a news report from TMZ Hip Hop, French Montana and Sheikha Mahra are officially engaged. The rapper's representative confirmed that the couple got engaged during Paris Fashion Week in June, shortly after French walked the runway. For those unaware, the couple has been spotted together at mosques, upscale restaurants, and even desert camel rides since 2024. As per the report, they are said to be 'excited' to celebrate their love in a grand wedding.

At the same time, family insiders revealed that the family and friends of the duo are supportive of the match. Sheikha Mahra's family is reportedly welcoming French Montana more warmly. While an official wedding date has not yet been set, the engagement is already one of the most talked-about stories of the year. However, the couple has yet to give a statement on the news.

What led to Sheikha Mahra's publicised divorce with her ex-husband, Mana Al Maktoum? 

This new beginning for Sheikha Mahra comes after a whirlwind year marked by her divorce from Emirati businessman, Sheikh Mana Al Maktoum. The princess had married Mana in April 2023 in a lavish Dubai wedding that drew international attention. The couple wore matching outfits, and their backgrounds made it a popular event. However, just a year later, in July 2024, Mahra shocked her followers when she announced her divorce publicly on Instagram. Following the Islamic practice of 'triple talaq', she penned:

"Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce her. Take Care, your ex-wife."

The announcement came after fans speculated cracks in her marriage when she shared a picture after her daughter's birth to confirm her arrival and captioned it, writing, "Just us the two of us." Soon after her divorce, Sheikh Mahra transformed her. She launched her own perfume line, Mahra M1, with a striking first product named "Divorce." The fragrance, priced at USD 272, symbolized empowerment and became an instant talking point across the Middle East.
