Gabriella’s diamond has a cushion cut, and it’s set east-west, which means the stone is placed sideways across the band, rather than the usual up-and-down style. The diamond also features an antique cut, which makes it even more special because it was made by hand, making it a truly unique piece.

Jewellery expert, Kegan Fisher, co-founder of jewellery brand, Frank Darling, said the diamond looks like a true antique cushion cut or old mine cut. The stone has a soft, pillow-like shape with rounded corners. She was quoted as saying:

"The ring looks like a true antique cushion or old mine cut [diamond], with a pillowy shape and softly rounded corners" set atop a brilliant yellow gold band."

Speaking to People, Kegan Fisher shared that Gabriella Brooks’ engagement ring looks to be about 4.5 to 5 carats, which might be larger in reality. This happens because, in the case of antique diamonds, they are often cut deeper at the bottom, so that they appear slightly smaller on the surface than their actual weight. Similarly, jeweller, Laura Taylor, told US Weekly that she estimated it to be around 4 to 5 carats.

Coming to the price of the ring, there have been many figures. Kegan Fisher has estimated the value of the ring to be around USD 150,000. Jeweller, Laura Taylor, said that depending on the diamond’s quality and carat weight, Gabriella Brooks’ ring could be worth USD 300,000 to USD 425,000. Another jeweller, Justin Daughters, MD at Berganza Antique & Vintage Jewellers, gave a similar estimate, saying the ring's cost might be between USD 200,000 to USD 400,000. The exact price of the special piece is yet to be confirmed.

Speaking to People, an Australian photographer close to the couple, Liam and Gabriella, said that Liam’s family was eagerly waiting for him to propose to Gabriella for some time now because they always liked her.
