Gautam Adani has set forward a motion of change in how the wealthier people celebrate their special occasions. The businessman broke away from the social loop of 'the wealthier you are, the more you have to spend on your wedding' for his son, Jeet's big day. Instead, he donated a hefty amount to social causes.
Despite being India's richest man, Gautam chose to have his son, Jeet Adani, married in a traditional yet simple ceremony. However, what surprised us was that the businessman marked the joyous occasion by donating Rs.10,000 crore to social causes. An anonymous source close to the business tycoon shared where these funds will be directed to and stated:
"A major portion of this donation is expected to go into funding massive infrastructure initiatives in health care, education and skill development. These initiatives will focus on giving all sections of society access to a network of affordable, world-class hospitals and medical colleges, affordable top-tier K-12 schools and advanced global skill academies with assured employability."
The same source confirmed that Gautam Adani stuck by his word for his son, Jeet Adani's wedding. They revealed that there was no fleet of private jets transporting guests or performers who lit up the stage. Instead, the wedding was an intimate affair in accordance with Gautam's word at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on January 21, 2025. For the unversed, it was during Gautam's visit to Maha Kumbh that he was asked by a reporter if Jeet's wedding would be "Maha Kumbh of celebrities". To which the businessman responded and stated:
"Definitely not. We are like common people. Jeet came here to take Ma Ganga’s blessings. His marriage will happen in a simple and traditional way."
On January 7, 2025, Jeet tied the knot with Diva in a grand but intimate wedding ceremony. His father, Gautam, took to his social media handle, X, and shared two pictures from the celebration. In the first photo, Jeet and Diva are lost in each other's eyes as they get married. The bride, Diva, looked like a dream in a white-hued lehenga with golden work all over it. The beautiful piece is from Sabyasachi Mukherjee's shelves.
Her lehenga was accentuated with a beautiful maroon-hued velvet dupatta, which was tucked over her shoulder as a shawl. She wore a second red-hued sheer dupatta, which was pinned over her head. Her look was accentuated with a choker neckpiece, matching maang teeka and bangles. On the other hand, the groom looked handsome in an ivory-toned sherwani with a golden doshala and a matching turban. In another photo, we spotted Gautam Adani and his wife posing with the newly married couple, Jeet and Diva. He captioned his post:

"It was a small and very intimate ceremony, so we couldn’t invite all our well-wishers despite our wishes, for which I sincerely apologise. I wholeheartedly seek your love and blessings for my daughter Diva and Jeet."
