The telly couple Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy are on cloud nine as they are expecting their first baby. The couple recently went on a babymoon in Udaipur and had the most amazing time. In an interview with The Times of India, Gautam talked about the same and called it a beautiful experience.
In the same interview, Gautam revealed that Pankhuri is six months pregnant and is due in the month of August. The couple chose Udaipur for their babymoon as they wanted to spend some quality time away from the hustle of Mumbai. Talking about their stay in Udaipur, Gautam revealed:
“When we reached the hotel, we were given a surprise welcome by the staff with a cake and balloons. We both felt very happy. Though we were mostly in the hotel only, we also went out to the local market. Pankhuri also picked up some bandhani stuff and jewellery and some other knick-knacks.”

Going further in the interview, Gautam revealed how the couple keeps talking to their baby and called it a surreal feeling. Sharing details about shortlisting names, Gautam stated:
“Being a husband, it is my responsibility to make her feel happy and relaxed. We keep talking to our baby and this feeling is just surreal. We have also short listed few names both girl as well as boy, since we don’t know whether it’s a boy or a girl. Currently, our focus is on our baby.”
It was on April 6, 2023, when Pankhuri and Gautam announced their pregnancy. Taking to their IG handle, they collaboratively shared an animated video, wherein we could see clapper boards with the captions talking about their first meet as scene 1, followed by their grand wedding as scene 2. Finally, in the end, we could see the third clapper board revealing their 'good news'. Afterwards, we can spot the couple's animated version with Pankhuri flaunting her baby bump in a red-hued dress.

On April 24, 2023, Pankhuri took to her IG handle and shared a video, where she revealed that she wasn’t sure of her pregnancy and had no idea about the same. As Pankhuri was shooting for the show, Maddam Sir, she felt constantly tired and reached out to her mom, who advised her to take a pregnancy test.
