Raymond Group's Chairman, Gautam Singhania, broke the internet as he announced his separation from his wife, Nawaz Modi Singhania, after 32 years of marriage. While the entire nation was celebrating the festival of lights, Diwali, social media was abuzz with glimpses of the fun-filled festivities. However, Nawaz Modi Singhania, who is the wife of Gautam Singhania, grabbed all the limelight due to the unaccepted incident that happened with her. For the unversed, Nawaz is a well-known personality in the fitness world, who practises yoga and works as a fitness trainer.
On November 13, 2023, taking to her social media handle, X (formerly Twitter), Gautam Singhania penned a long note, stating that Diwali is not going to be the same for him this year. He further added that they have always been a source of strength to each other. An excerpt from the Raymond Chairman and Managing Director's note can be read as:
"This Diwali is not going to be the same as many in the past. 32 years of being together as a couple, growing as parents and always being a source of strength to each other... we traversed with commitment, resolve, faith as along came the two most beautiful additions of our lives."

On November 12, 2023, Raymond Group Chairman, Gautam Singhania's wife, Nawaz Modi Singhania, dropped a video of herself on social media. In the video, which went viral on social media, she claimed she was stopped from attending her husband’s Diwali bash despite getting an invitation for the same. She mentioned that she was standing outside the JK Gram house in Thane.
Showing a man standing inside the gated premises, Nawaz mentioned that he was Chandrakant, who controls the local police and gatekeepers. However, he obstructed her entry into the house, due to which she had to sit on the road. Further in the video, Nawaz said that she has been through a lot but kept quiet, and now that she finally spoke up, the video should go viral. She said:
"This is now going to go viral with everything that I've been through and kept quiet about all of this time."

For the unversed, this is not the first time that Nawaz Modi Singhania has hit the headlines for her personal life. Last month, her husband, Gautam, allegedly assaulted her in their Breach Candy house, which resulted in a broken collar bone. After the injury, she was admitted to Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Girgaon. However, no police complaint has been registered in the matter so far.
