Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na fame, Genelia Deshmukh is known for her bubbly characters and the girl next door look. Though she had been away from the limelight for quite a while, Bollywood has missed the presence of the actress. We might not have seen Genelia in any hot item song, but her innocence and infectious smile are second to none.
Being a mother of two, Riaan and Rahyl, Genelia Deshmukh leads a busy mom life. Her life became more beautiful after tying the knot with her longtime boyfriend and actor, Riteish Deshmukh in 2012. And since the birth of their baby boys, the family of four have been living a peaceful life. But, it is still a mystery to many of her fans who assume why Genelia left doing movies. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actress talked about the same and said:
“Last 10 years I have been a homemaker and I did nothing. I was there for relationships and that was my life for the last 10 years. Homemakers’ job is the toughest.”

Riteish Deshmukh’s directorial debut, Ved marked his wife, Genelia’s comeback to the film industry after 10 years of break. The Marathi film featured Genelia as Riteish’s love interest on the silver screen. In the same interview, Genelia recalled the time when she was compared with the more prominent actresses and said:
“I have seen myself very differently and I feel there is so much scope and so much work to do. I did not want to be one of those actors who had the best clothes, it just wasn’t part of me. I remember, when I won an award for the most number of advertisements in a year, people said, ‘There are bigger actresses and you are someone who keeps getting these. They say they don’t want to be the girl next door, but I love it.”
On December 17, 2022, Genelia raised a toast for her darling husband, Riteish as he turned a year older. Taking to his Instagram handle, the actor revealed how his baiko and their kids, Riaan and Rahyl planned a surprise birthday party for him. Moreover, the birthday bash was themed on Riteish and Genelia’s Marathi film, Ved, directed by the former.

November 25, 2022, marked Riaan’s birthday and to make his day more special, the doting mommy showered motherly love on him. She had taken to her IG handle and posted a couple of pictures with her baby boy to wish him. In the portraits, Genelia looked pretty in a red dress, giving a peck of love on Riaan’s cheeks. Alongside it, she revealed that Riaan is the reason she wakes up every morning.
