Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza’s marriage is a perfect example of modern relationships. Despite dating for 9 years and being married for 10 years, their love for each other still feels fresh. They had tied the knot on February 3, 2012, and had welcomed their first baby, Riaan in 2014, and their second son, Rahyl in 2016. As after two years of the pandemic, the schools are finally reopening, Genelia expressed her happiness in sending her kids back to their schools!
Pandemic has surely made everyone’s life tough! However, the toughest it got for mothers, who were balancing their house, work and kids simultaneously. From ensuring that their kids are safe during the pandemic to attending their classes with them, mothers were on their toes. Genelia D’souza is one such mother, who has been doing it all for her kids and family. And now as school reopened, she expressed her happiness about the same.
A while back, Genelia D’Souza took to her IG stories and shared a video from her kids’ school as she went there to see them off! In the video, it looked like her son was climbing the steps of his school as the teachers were happily welcoming the kids. Sharing the video, Genelia penned a gratitude note atop it and wrote:
“Schools re-open after 2 years. Our kids really needed this. Thank you @ascendspeaks for being amazing.”
In February 2021, Genelia had taken to her IG handle and had shared a hilarious video with Riaan and Rahyl, lip-syncing the song, Mai Tera Boyfriend. Along with the video, she had penned an emotional note on being a mother and how her kids are above everything else. Her note could be read as:
“Being a Mum is that one time that you realise, you effortlessly, whole heartedly and repeatedly put someone above you but in the process, you also realise that you are the only person they put on the pedestal in their lives… Kids are just that... Forgiving to every mood, wanting you 24/7 and believing their Mom is right ( While every mom questions themselves whether they are doing the right thing) I know as a Mum, I’m not Perfect, I’m not the best, I falter, I fall but where my kids are concerned no one can want better for them, than me… So to all Moms- You are the Best and don’t let anyone make you feel otherwise.”
Riteish and Genelia are working parents and thus, to manage their kids, they divide their work amongst them. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Genelia had recalled a funny story about how Ritesh has to manage the kids just one day and what goes on that day. In her words:
“So Riteish does one day which is great, I mean I know a lot of dads who do a lot of things. The distant learning that our kids have been doing online, I used to do it all five days and I felt like I need one day off because I need a different perspective. I don’t feel like I’m not good at the whole thing for the child. I want to do my best. So, I asked Riteish would you do one day, he said ‘yes, of course,’ So, every time he realises that Wednesday is coming which is his day… He says, ‘I’ve never found anything more tolerable than this.”
On the work front, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Sourza were last seen hosting the show, Ladies V/s Gentleman 2 together.
