Genelia Deshmukh is a well-known actress who has worked in films across Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil languages. She has been described in the media as one of the leading South Indian actresses of the 2000s. Genelia has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. Genelia began her acting career with the Hindi film, Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003 and earned recognition after she was seen in the Tamil film, Boys. In her career as an actress, she has worked with several actors, including Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. In a recent interview, the actress has reacted to this.
It was only recently that Genelia Deshmukh sat for a conversation with a news agency and reflected on the journeys of her former co-stars, Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. The actress commended the actors for how far they have come and shared that Jr. NTR is a brilliant actor. She added that he would get three pages of dialogue, and all it would take was a glance for him to be ready. On the other hand, Genelia called Ram Charan an actor with a unique flair. She stated that this flair makes him incredibly lovable.
While Genelia had nothing but good things to say about her former co-stars, it was her comment about Ram and NTR not being the same actors she had worked with that sparked a buzz. During the conversation, Genelia looked back on working with Jr. NTR in Samba and Naa Alludu, and with Ram Charan on Orange, and shared how she couldn't believe that they were the same actors she had worked with all those years ago when she saw RRR. The actress was quoted as saying:
"Watching Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in RRR made me question if these were the same people I once acted with."
Genelia Deshmukh's statement left netizens in splits as they couldn't conclude whether she was praising or insulting Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. Soon enough, a post was made on the discussion platform, Reddit, with the caption, "Ye tareef hai ya bezatti?" and several users started chiming in to share their views on the same. A user penned, "Is this for real?" Another user shared a 'Chulbul Pandey' GIF, captioned, "Maarenge bhi hum aur bachaayenge bhi hum." A comment read, "It's a compliment. Their acting improved leaps and bounds when compared to their initial days."
Several users found the comment hilarious and stated, "Ab dekho statement toh pass kiya hai. Offence lena hai ki thank you bolna tum figure out karlo." Another wrote, "She should know guys mature much slower than girls do." While others pointed out how everyone evolves and penned, "They were rookies when they paired with her." Another commented, "Actually, they have improved as actors, especially if you see their acting in their early days, so she is complimenting them here."
