23-Yr-Old Influencer, Gina Lima's Death, Friends Accused Her Ex-Bf, Ivan, Made Him Commit Suicide

The entire world was left shocked when the news of 23-year-old Filipino model-influencer, Gina Lima's death surfaced. Three days later, her ex-boyfriend, Ivan Ronquillo, died by suicide, leaving his family heartbroken. Now, reports claim that the 24-year-old was already in pain with Gina's sudden death, but when social media put the blame for her death on him, he couldn't digest it, and took the bold step. Now, a name has been highlighted who first started the false accusation against Ivan Ronquillo.

Influencer, Valentine Rosales faces criticism after he blamed Gina's ex-bf, Ivan Ronquillo, for her death

Online personality, Valentine Rosales, has been facing major backlash after his now-deleted Facebook post, which blamed Ivan Ronquillo for the death of Gina Lima. The post surfaced after the news of Ivan Ronquillo's death by suicide was confirmed. Before the posts were taken down, a screenshot of it was shared by Ivan Ronquillo, hours before he committed suicide. In the post, Valentine was accusing Ivan and wrote:

"Hey!!! You animal! What did you do to Gina?! … Don’t you ever hurt a woman."

As per reports, Ivan Ronquillo shared screenshots on his Facebook page shortly before his death, and tagged Valentine as among those who publicly accused him of harming Gina. It is worth mentioning that Valentine had shared a lengthy note expressing outrage and claiming that Ivan was earlier involved in such incidents. The post is now deleted.

Gina Lima's cause of death

The Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit released a statement and disapproved the allegation that 23-year-old influencer, Gina Lima, died of physical assault. According to the QCPD spokesperson, Lima's body showed non-fatal external injuries and there were no signs of strangulation or force.

In fact, initial autopsy results stated it to be heart congestion and congested, edematous lungs, consistent with cardiorespiratory distress, pending toxicology and histopathology results. Investigators also pointed out that Gina's condo showed no indication of a fight or struggle. 

Valentine Rosales' statement post Ivan Ronquillo's suicide

After Ivan Ronquillo committed suicide, Valentine Rosales received major backlash for bullying him. Following it, he released a statement and claimed that he was also a victim of misinformation. He stated that these details were provided to him by a mutual friend named as 'Kevin Tan':

"You’re blaming me for their suicide? Just like you, I’m also a victim of misinformation… I got the details from our mutual friends as well."

It is worth mentioning that Ivan Ronquillo was facing a tough time, as in his last Facebook post, he mentioned the same man, 'Kevin Tan', and showed his injured face. Along with it, he wrote:

"To Kevin Tan, thank you very much for what you did to the face. Justice will also take care of you and thank you for spreading false information."

Ivan Ronquillo's death

Ivan Cezar Ronquillo, was found dead after three days on November 19, 2025, in the stairway of his Quezon City apartment. He was soon rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital. The police revealed that they had received a report of a sudden death, and he was identified as Ivan. He was found unresponsive at 7:10 a.m.

According to initial reports, a tenant of the apartment building informed Ivan's father after he had seen him hanging from the metal stairs located on the third floor. The father soon confirmed that it was his son. They cut the hose used, and he was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

Well, the misinformation spread on the internet left a family losing their son, without any fault of his!
