Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora got married to each other in the year 1998. But after 19 years of their marital bliss, the duo got divorced. However, they never shy away from co-parenting their son, Arhaan Khan. After parting ways with one another, Malaika and Arbaaz gave love another chance with their respective partners. While Malaika found love in the arms of Arjun Kapoor, Arbaaz came into a romantic relationship with Giorgia Andriani. However, after four years of relationship, Arbaaz and Giorgia parted ways. And just a few days ago, Giorgia confirmed the same.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Giorgia Andriani confirmed the breakup rumours with Arbaaz Khan. She added that for her to be addressed as someone's girlfriend is really demeaning to her. The actress said she had her fair share of struggles, and she has done hard work, but if her personality is labelled as someone's girlfriend, it's really demeaning to her. Giorgia said:
"I do find it demeaning for someone’s personality to be addressed as someone’s girlfriend, or someone’s boyfriend, or someone’s something. I find it very demeaning. I have lived my life, till now all my struggles, all my work, all my preparations…my evolution to become what I am now to be called ‘somebody’s girlfriend’. I definitely find it very demeaning. I wish not to be called that anymore.”

In the same interview, Giorgia Andriani stated that she and Arbaaz were best of friends, and she still has feelings for him. The actress stated that Arbaaz had emotionally given her everything when she needed it. Going further in the interview, Giorgia mentioned that she and the actor were not in a toxic relationship, so there was no chance of cutting him off from her life.
While revealing details about her breakup with Arbaaz Khan, Giorgia Andriani mentioned that it was a mutual decision of theirs, and it was really hard for them. She also added that the breakup actually made both of them sad. Talking about what the clash was between them, Giorgia mentioned that she loves to meet new people and explore new places, but she might not be able to gel with someone who doesn't have the same taste as her. Talking about the reason behind her breakup with Arbaaz, Giorgia stated:
"He’s always been very liberal and very open-minded. That was not the issue. I used to feel that I was doing something wrong by even wanting to travel and maybe him not wanting to or him wanting to plan things ahead much beforehand. I thought that that was just something that would clash.”
Further in the interview, Giorgia Andriani stated that she is happy right now and has been loving her freedom after her breakup with Arbaaz Khan. She said that now she can go wherever she wants and do whatever she likes, and that's why she is living a happy life.

Earlier, Karan Johar appeared in Malaika Arora's show, Moving In With Malaika. While being there, KJo asked Malaika if she knew about the breakup between Giorgia Andriani and Arbaaz Khan. To this, Malaika said that she doesn't have the tendency to ask her ex-husband or son about their personal affairs. She also added that while some other divorcee couples seek information about each other from their kids, she restrain herself from that. In the same conversation, Karan asked Malaika about her equation with Arbaaz. To this, she said that it's 'lovely' and far better now.
