The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, the upcoming American dystopian action film is already creating a lot of noise. Ever since the trailer was released on November 20, 2025, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the film’s release. The upcoming film is both a sequel to The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and a prequel to The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will be the sixth instalment of The Hunger Games franchise. Now that the trailer has been released, Glenn Close’s bold look became the talk of the town.

Glenn Close will play the role of 'Drusilla Sickle', a sinister character. In the trailer of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, Glenn was seen sporting a bright neon yellow uniform jacket and orange bob with bangs. Her makeup included a bright red lip shade and arched eyebrows. Speaking about her character, Glenn told Entertainment Tonight:

"I just think of character stuff as really fun. I’m doing The Hunger Games now and that’s another amazing collaboration I’m having fun with."

What to expect in the upcoming film, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping?

As we know that The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is a prequel to The Hunger Games, the story of the upcoming is set 24 years back from where the first instalment began. The film centers around young 'Haymitch Abernathy' (played by Joseph Zada) and the deadliest game. 'Haymitch' will compete the 50th annual games, a.k.a the second Quarter Quell. From each district two boys and two girls will be competing, thus doubling the tributes this time. The film will also explore a love story involving 'Haymitch' and his ladylove, 'Lenore Dove' (played by Whitney Peak).

Glenn Close is an American actress who rose to fame in 1980s. She has been actively entertaining the audience with her on stage and screen performances. Over the years, she won numerous accolades including three Primetime Emmy Awards, Tony Awards and Golden Globe Awards. She has been nominated in eight Oscars, two BAFTA Awards and three Grammy Awards. At the age of 27, she began her professional career on the stage in 1974.

But it was in the 1980s, the Emmy Award winning actress got her breakthrough role in Hollywood with the film, The World According to Garp. Her debut role brought her the first Oscar nomination. Coming to her personal life, Glenn Close had three marriages. None of the marriages were a successful one and led to divorce. She was first married to singer-songwriter, Cabot Wade from 1969 to 1971. Then she tied the knot with businessman, James Marlas from 1984 to 1987. She welcomed a daughter named Annie Starke, from a relationship with music producer, John Starke. She then married biotech entrepreneur, David Shaw in 2006. According to the latest reports, Glenn Close has been single after her split with David in September 2015.
