Sunita recently sat for an interview, wherein she revealed a lot of unheard anecdotes, from her dodging Bigg Boss' offer to how her husband hated her for wearing short clothes and more.
Sunita Ahuja recently sat for an interview on the podcast, Time Out with Ankit, wherein she revealed that she had no idea that she would fall in love with Govinda and eventually get married to him. Sunita shared that she was only 18 years old when she married Govinda, and after a year, their daughter, Tina was born.

Sharing more about her relationship with her husband, Sunita revealed that her husband hated her as she used to wear short clothes. She mentioned that Govinda said his mom wouldn't like it if his wife would roam around in short clothes. Sunita remarked that Govinda was fine with his heroines wearing short clothes, but he didn't want his wife to dress up in the same way. Sunita can be quoted as saying:
"I went from wearing miniskirts to sarees. That’s why my husband used to hate me. I would tell him, ‘I’m from Bandra, you’re from Virar, boss’. And he’d say, ‘No, my mother won’t like it."
In the same interview, Sunita Ahuja shared that she and Govinda have been together for 40 years now, and she has been with him since he was not a megastar. Reflecting on how long they have been together, Sunita added that there must be something in between her and her husband, that brought them in this long run. Further, in the interview, Sunita revealed how Govinda used to work in five shifts when his daughter was born, and couldn't be there during the same. In Sunita's words:
"When our daughter was born, he’d scheduled five shifts on that same day. My mother-in-law was there with me, and after every shift, he’d check in and ask if the baby had been born. When he was at his third shift of the day, Tina was born. I didn’t realise how big a star he was."
In the same conversation, Sunita Ahuja revealed that she has been dodging Bigg Boss' offer for a long. Sunita and her daughter, Tina were further offered to participate in Bigg Boss OTT 3. She stated that a person in her status should be the host of the show, and asked the makers to offer her the show if she could host it alongside Salman Khan. Sunita said:

"I told them, ‘Do you even know who you’re talking to right now? Come to me if you want me to host alongside Salman Khan’."
In the same conversation, Sunita Ahuja added that she asked the Bigg Boss makers if they think her to be someone who has been struggling financially. She also asked the makers if they would offer the same role to Shah Rukh Khan's wife. Sunita also added that she has been waiting to be invited on Koffee With Karan, and is quite sure that she would bring some good ratings to the show.
