Karwa Chauth is a special festival that brings husband and wife together and reignites the love between them. On this day, married women observe a one-day fast that begins before sunrise and lasts until moonrise, for their husband's long life and well-being. In return, the husbands shower heaps of love on their wives and give them beautiful presents.
Well, as the festive season is here and October 24, 2021, marked the auspicious festival of Karwa Chauth, the pictures from the same were doing rounds on the internet. From Mira Kapoor’s elegant look in red sharara to Shilpa Shetty’s red and gold ethnic wear, the Bollywood celebrities went all out to celebrate Karwa Chauth. However, it was the Hero no 1 actor, Govinda who took a notch higher and made the occasion extra special for his wife, Sunita Ahuja by gifting her a swanky new car.

On October 24, 2021, Govinda took to his Instagram handle and shared some pictures from his Karwa Chauth celebration with his wife, Sunita Ahuja. However, what grabbed our attention the most was the lavish BMW that Govinda gifted his wife on the special occasion. According to a report in The Free Press Journal, Govinda’s gift appears to be a BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic edition, launched this month, which costs around Rs. 62.96 lakhs. Along with the pictures, Govinda wrote:
“To my best friend, the love of my life, the mother of my two beautiful children. Happy Karva chauth. I love you. My love for you is beyond is immeasurable. Par aaj ke liye is chote gift se measure kar lena. You deserve all the happiness in this world and more. Love you my Sona! @officialsunitaahuja #Happykarwachauth #truelove.”

While Sunita Ahuja was decked up in a red saree, on the other hand, Govinda twinned with her in a red kurta-pyjama paired with a black Nehru jacket. She accessorised her look with a gold choker, matching jhumkas, and a heavy mangalsutra. Sunita completed her look with a red round bindi, sindoor, kohled-eyes, and red lipstick. The two looked adorable as they stood in front of their swanky car and posed for the camera.

The doting wife, Sunita Ahuja also took to her Instagram handle and shared some photos of herself performing the Karwa Chauth rituals with her husband, Govinda. Along with the pictures, she penned down a Karwa Chauth wish for her friends which can be read as "Happy karvachauth to all my friends god bless you all."

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Sunita Ahuja had showered love on her husband, Govinda and had shared that she would want Govinda to be reborn as her son in his next life. Sharing the details, she had said:
“Govinda is a very good person! A superb son, brother, and a very good father. But I always tell him that in his next life, he should take birth as my son. As a husband, he is very good, but he is not like the husband that I want (laughs). I love to party, go out and holiday, but Govinda is very dedicated to his work and his family, he has no such lavish interests. We are total opposites. He spent all his youth making his family happy and we didn’t get time together as he used to do five shoots a day. And now I’m old (laughs)!”
For the unversed, Govinda and Sunita had tied the marital knot in 1987, and are blessed with two children, a daughter, Narmada Ahuja and a son, Yashvardhan Ahuja. The couple had kept their marriage a secret and it was only after the arrival of their daughter, Narmada, that they had revealed that they were married. However, at the age of 49, Govinda had renewed his wedding vows with his wife, Sunita on their 25th anniversary, in the attendance of their close friends, in London.
The couple was last seen as guests on The Kapil Sharma Show, and it had become the centre of a controversy after Govinda's nephew, Krushna Abhishek, had opted out of the episode.
