Govinda, Sunita Ahuja's Family Friend, Lawyer Debunks Their Divorce, 'They Are Going Strong..'

Bollywood couple, Govinda and Sunita Ahuja are all over the news because of reports that they are heading for separation. The duo has been married for over 37 years, but murmurs continued, saying they lived separately. After marrying Sunita, Govinda did not even accept his marriage for the longest time so his career would not be affected. Now, amid the strong divorce buzz, Govinda's lawyer and family friend, Lalit Bindal shared that everything is fine between the two.

Govinda's lawyer, Lalit Bindal confirms actor is not headed for divorce with Sunita

Lately, in the past, Sunita had given many interviews, of which Govinda was not a part. Now, his lawyer, Lalit Bindal, who is also their family friend, squashed rumours surrounding the same. During an interview with the India Today, Lalit revealed that Sunita had opted to file for a divorce six months back in 2024. However, things between the couple improved, and they have gotten back together. It seemed that the duo reconsidered their decision to separate. He said:

"We also travelled to Nepal during the New Year and performed puja together at Pashupati Nath Mandir. Everything is fine between them now. Such things keep happening between couples, but they are going strong and will always be together."

Govinda's lawyer, Lalit Bindal claims Sunita Ahuja overshared in the interviews

The lawyer also accused people of using Sunita's quotes from her recent interviews and airing them on social media. The lawyer noted that when Sunita shared in one of her interviews that she did not like Govinda, she also expressed wanting a son like him. Lalit also expressed that people have just been bad-mouthing the couple. In his words:

"When she said that he was with his own valentine, she meant he was working. It is unfortunate that people are only talking negatively about them when the couple is together, and I can assure that they will always be. No divorce is going to happen."

Govinda reacts to his divorce murmurs

Many reports on social media have alleged that Govinda and Sunita decided to separate owing to their different lifestyles and disagreements. It was also alleged that the actor was getting close to a 30-year-old Marathi actress, which was one of the major causes of the reported split. During an earlier interview with the ETimes, the Sindoor actor reacted and said:

"These are only business talks going…I am in the process of starting my films." 

When Sunita Ahuja revealed she and Govinda stayed separately

Sunita, earlier in an interview with the Hindi Rush, revealed that she and Govinda used to reside in separate apartments. This statement shocked her and Govinda's fans, who were curious. Sunita explained that they have two houses, one of which is a bungalow opposite their apartment. She has a temple and her kids in a flat. The actor loves talking to people, staying back late for meetings and chatting with them. Hence, she prefers to stay separately.
