Weddings, which has to be a person's major milestone, turned into a crime scene when a groom was stabbed on stage with a huge crowd. What followed was a brave move by the photographer, who deployed the wedding drone on the attackers. While they fled from the scene, the drone followed them.

Wedding nightmare: groom stabbed by two men on stage, drone chases the attackers for 2 km

A wedding that was happening in Maharashtra's Amravati turned into a nightmare. On November 10, 2025, when the groom was stabbed on stage, unleashing hues of cry and horror. The two men who stabbed him ran, and what followed was a brave and intelligent move by the wedding photographer, who, instead of panicking, decided to follow the accused by deploying the drone.

The drone kept tracking the two men on a bike for nearly two kilometres. The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. at Sahil Lawn on Badnera Road. The groom was identified as a 22-year-old Sujal Ram Samudra. The accused was identified as Ragho Jitendra Bakshi. 

As per eyewitnesses, Ragho met the groom on stage. However, within a few minutes, he stabbed the groom three times with a knife. The groom was left with majorly injuries to the thigh and knee. The chaos emerged among guests, who were there to be part of the 22-year-old man's celebration. However, the drone operator kept recording and even followed the attackers' escape route. He managed to capture the attackers' movements for about two kilometres, after which they lost sight of the bike.

The drone footage has been handed over to the police, and it clearly shows the accused's face and escape route. Police officials have called it an important piece of evidence in the case. The video showed the stage and swiftly followed the attackers. The man was dressed in a hoodie, and he ran off the lawn, took a bike parked outside, and fled the scene. The Station House Officer, Sunil Chauhan said:

"The drone operator’s alertness has been extremely helpful to us. The video will significantly aid in identifying and locating the accused."

The fight during the DJ led to the attack

The initial investigation revealed that the attack happened after a minor dispute during a DJ performance. The groom and the accused allegedly pushed each other while dancing, which was followed by a heated argument, which angered the attacker, and he decided to stab the groom. In the heat of the moment, the accused person also attempted to attack the groom's father, Ramji Samudra, before fleeing the venue. 

Police are using the footage to trace the accused's movements and have launched a manhunt. On the other hand, the injured groom was immediately rushed to RIMS Hospital, Amravati, where doctors revealed that he suffered deep wounds. However, he is in a stable condition. But the attack on him has left many scared.
