Embracing monkhood and leaving behind all the material comforts and luxury of life, is indeed a tough decision for every person. However, those who are inclined to spirituality from birth or afterwards attain monkhood with no regrets. One such recent instance was when a nine-year-old baby girl, Devanshi, who could have inherited a multi-crore diamond business, renounced luxury and took diksha in the presence of a Jain monk on January 18, 2022. Undoubtedly, the entire social media is filled with stunning glimpses from the event, which are simply unmissable.
The ceremony for the nine-year-old girl, Devanshi, began on January 15, 2022. Moreover, on January 17, 2022, a day before she attained monkhood, a grand procession with camels, elephants, horses and other great arrangements was organised in the city of Surat in Gujarat. Afterwards, Devanshi took diksha in the presence of a Jain monk, Acharya Vijay Kirtiyashsuri and hundreds of other people at a venue in the Vesu locality of Surat. Following this, she also walked about 700 km with other monks. Check out the glimpses from the same:

According to a report in the TOI, Devanshi is the elder daughter of Dhanesh and Ami Sanghvi, a diamond merchant in Gujarat. The family owns the three-decade-old diamond polishing and export firm, Sanghvi and Sons, in Gujarat. A family friend of the Sanghvi's, Nirav Shah said:
"Today, she (Devanshi) was given 'diksha' at a function. The Sanghvis have two daughters -- Devanshi is the elder one and she has a four-year-old sister. Devanshi showed religious inclination since she was a toddler. She has followed the ascetic life since a very young age. On Tuesday, a day before Devanshi took 'Diksha,' a religious procession was taken out with fanfare in the city."

As per multiple reports, Devanshi has been living a simple life like her parents since childhood. Moreover, she has been inclined towards spiritual life since a very young age. She used to pray three times a day like other family members and has also been part of 367 diksha events. A close source to the family revealed to TOI that Devanshi has neither watched TV or movies nor she went to any restaurants or others marriages. The source can be quoted as saying:
"Despite being owners of a huge business set-up, the family lives a simple life. Devanshi never watched TV, or movies and never went to restaurants or attended marriages. She has participated in 367 diksha events so far."
