'Gustaakh Ishq' Cast Fee, How Much Did Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh And Naseeruddin Shah Charge?

Manish Malhotra recently stepped into the world of films by producing his first Bollywood film, Gustaakh Ishq, starring Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead. For those who don't know, the romantic film was released in theatres on November 28, 2025, and since then it is receiving positive response from the audience as well as critics. Well, now take a look at the whopping fee of the cast of the film, Gustaakh Ishq.

Who charged the most for Gustakh Ishq: Vijay Varma or Fatima Sana Shaikh?

While the fees of Vijay Varma or Fatima Sana Shaikh hasn’t been confirmed by the actors or the makers of the film, a recent report has revealed the alleged amount the two might have taken home for their role in the romantic film. According to a report by Big TV, Vijay Varma, who plays the role of 'Nawabuddin Saifuddin', reportedly took home Rs. 3 to 4 crore. Apart from him, the female lead of the film, Fatima Sana Shaikh, who plays the role of 'Minni', Vijay's love interest in the film allegedly charged the same amount as the Murder Mubarak actor. 

The whopping fee of Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi

Apart from Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh, the film, Gustaakh Ishq also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi in supporting yet important roles. For those who don’t know, Naseeruddin Shah plays the role of ‘Aziz’, who is a well-known poet. He is also the father of Fatima Sana Shaikh in the film. According to the same report by Big TV, Naseeruddin Shah earned Rs. 2-2.5 crore. On the other hand, Sharib Hashmi, who plays the role of ‘Attachie’ charged around Rs. 70-80 lakhs. For the unversed, Sharib was also a part of the film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan. 

Budget of the film, Gustaakh Ishq

According to the reported budget of the film, Gustaakh Ishq, it falls into a mid-budget film category. Reportedly, after adding up the cast fee, production design and promotion fee, multiple reports have suggested that the film, directed by Vibhu Puri and produced by Manish Malhotra, was made on a budget of Rs. 25-30 crore. Reportedly, since the film includes a period backdrop, the costumes, art design and production charged around Rs. 6-8 crore. 

Plotline of Gustaakh Ishq

Gustaakh Ishq is a romantic film, which is set in the 1990s blends poetry, nostalgia and old-school romance in the perfect manner. The film follows 'Nawabuddin' (Vijay Varma), who tries to save his late father's printing press, to honour his legacy. In that process, he comes across some unpublished poetries of 'Aziz Beg' (Naseeruddin Shah). When 'Nawabuddin' meets 'Aziz' to convince him, he falls in love with his daughter, 'Minni' (Fatima Sana Shaikh). And what follows is a light hearted and feel-good love story. 

The film received positive response from both the audience and critics. Manish Malhotra's film also premiered at the 56th International Film Festival of India. After the release, one user commented, "Amazing actors whose unforgettable performances leave an indelible mark." Another user shared, "This is not just a film, it’s a beautifully written shayari, the kind that only Gulzaar saab’s soul could inspire." A third user wrote, "This film is for absolute cinema lovers."
