Popular actress, Hansika Motwani was a rage when she made her debut as a child artist in the television show, Shaka Laka Boom Boom. Later, she was seen in the Hrithik Roshan starrer, Koi Mil Gaya and received a lot of recognition. At the age of 15, Hansika made her adult debut as a leading actress in the Telugu film, Desamuduru. She then went on to star in the film, Aap Kaa Surroor.
Within a short span, Hansika became a sensation in the South Indian film industry as she appeared in several commercially successful films. Despite being a Sindhi, Hansika’s stunning looks made her a fan favourite down south. Although Hansika’s professional life has seen many highs, the actress has faced a lot of controversies too. Let us take a trip down memory lane and look at some famous controversies of Hansika.
When Hansika appeared in the film, Aap Kaa Surroor in 2007, opposite Himesh Reshammiya, there was a lot of buzz in the media that the actress had taken hormonal injections to look grown up. Back then, the gossipmongers believed that Hansika Motwani's mother, Mona Motwani, who is a dermatologist, had given her daughter the hormonal injections to look all grown up. However, Hansika reacted to the same and said:
“This is the expense of being a celebrity. They wrote such crap when I was 21, you know what I am talking about… If I could have taken it that time, I can take it this time. Crap was written about you too, everyone wrote that I have taken injections to grow up. People said that my mum has given me injections, hormonal injections to grow up as a woman.”
In the year 2013, there were rumours about Hansika Motwani and STR Simbu’s affair, and in the same year, the couple announced the same. The couple tweeted about their relationship, and their massive fanbase got excited about the news. While their huge fanbase was expecting the news of their marriage, the couple announced their breakup. Although the exact reason is still unknown, the reports hinted at Simbu’s closeness with his ex-girlfriend, Nayanthara. The breakup was shattering for Hansika and she took years to overcome it.
Apart from her acting, Hansika is hailed for her beauty in the South film industry. During the trailer launch of her film, Partner, supporting actor, Robo Shankar, sexualised the actress publicly. He called her a ‘wax doll’ and a ‘maida dough’. However, things took an ugly turn when he revealed how he pleaded with the actress to touch her once. In his words:

While he gave details about Hansika, sexualising her and objectifying her, the actress kept smiling because of the language barrier, and she had no idea what the man was saying about her.
Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya have been best friends for years. Moreover, Sohael was Hansika's best friend, Rinky Bajaj's husband, but the duo had got divorced. Years later, Hansika and Sohael fell in love with each other, and they decided to take their friendship to the next level by tying the knot. Hansika Motwani got married to her businessman-boyfriend, Sohael Khaturiya, in a royal wedding on December 4, 2022.
However, soon after their marriage, Hansika was accused of breaking Sohael’s first marriage and ruining her best friend’s home. In the reality show, Hansika's Love Shaadi Drama, the actress addressed the same and said:
“Just because I knew the person at that time doesn't mean it was my fault. I have nothing to do with this. Because I am a public figure, it was very easy for people to point at me and make me the villain. This was a price I pay for being a celebrity.”
