Harbhajan Singh, one of the most famous former Indian cricketers, never skipped a chance to leave everyone's jaws dropped with his cricketing skills. Harbhajan currently works as a commentator, analyst, and MP, who represents the AAP. Harbhajan was one of the best players of his time, and his contributions to India's cricketing history will never be forgotten. In a recent interview, Singh walked down memory lane and recalled the time when he was on the verge of crying when his then-teammate, Sreesanth's daughter, refused to talk to him.
Harbhajan Singh recently sat for an interview with Ravichandran Ashwin, on his podcast, when he was asked about his wish to change one thing in his life. Harbhajan mentioned that if possible, he would want to change that incident, which involved him slapping S Sreesanth during IPL 2008. He repeated three times that he would want to erase that incident from his life, which had been transcribed incorrectly. Mentioning that he shouldn't have done it and he apologised for it 200 times, Harbhajan Singh said:
“One thing I’d want to change in my life is that incident with Sreesanth. I want to remove that incident from my career. That is the incident I would change from my list. What transpired was wrong and I shouldn’t have done what I did. I apologised 200 times."
During the same conversation, Harbhajan Singh revealed that the incident happened several years ago, and he has been continuously apologising for the same every time he got an opportunity. He further mentioned that it was a mistake, and people are allowed to do so, and the only aim is not to repeat such mistakes again in life.
Harbhajan said that Sreesanth was his teammate back then, and the former should never have gone to such a level of anger that allowed him to raise his hand. He shared that it was his fault that he behaved in that manner, while Sreesanth's fault was to provoke him. Stating that whatever might have happened, he was the wrong one there, Harbhajan said:
"Yes, in that game we were opponents. But it shouldn’t have gone to that level where we behave in such a manner. So yeah, that was my fault and the only fault of his was that he provoked me, but that’s okay actually. However, what I did was not okay. I said, ‘Sorry’.”
Going forward in the interview, Harbhajan Singh revealed how he was left shattered when Sreesanth's daughter refused to talk to him. Harbhajan said that he met Sreesanth's daughter at an event, and when he was talking to her with love, she said that she wouldn't want to talk to him as Singh slapped her father. Harbhajan said he felt really bad and was on the verge of crying. He further mentioned that he keeps apologising to her, and hopes one day she will grow up and be able to see him in a different light than someone who hit her dad. Harbhajan could be quoted as saying:

"What hurt me even after many years was when I met his daughter and I was talking to her with a lot of love and she said, ‘I don’t want to talk to you. You hit my father.’ My heart was shattered and I was on the verge of tears. I was asking myself what is the impression I’ve left on her? She must be thinking of me in a poor light, right?"
During the inaugural season of IPL, Harbhajan Singh was with the team Mumbai Indians, while Sreesanth was with Kings XI Punjab. During a match, which was won by Punjab, the players were shaking hands when Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth. Sreesanth was seen crying, while Harbhajan was restricted from the rest of the tournament. The reason why Harbhajan slapped him was not known. Later, it was revealed that Sreesanth had provoked him.
