Hardik Pandya has been facing a difficult phase in his life for the last few months. Initially, he faced brutal wrath from social media after replacing Rohit Sharma as the captain of the IPL team, Mumbai Indians. Then, mustering only 216 runs in 13 innings and his team securing 10th in the IPL season, his captaincy also became quite disappointing for cricket lovers. Hardik was only managing to deal with the circumstances when reports about his alleged divorce from his wife, Natasa Stankovic, started garnering headlines. Amidst all that, the cricketer took the courage to go for the T20 World Cup and also opened up about his difficult times.
Ahead of the T20 World Cup warm-up game against Bangladesh in New York, Hardik Pandya opened up about his stance in the IPL 2024 season as MI captain and shared how he used to face difficult times. He mentioned that he believes in fighting the difficult phase rather than running away from it. Moreover, Hardik mentioned following the same process-driven routines with which he had made things happen earlier. Hardik said
"Eventually, I believe, you have to stay in the battle. Sometimes life puts you in situations where things are tough, but I believe that if you leave the game or the field, the battle that is, you won't get what you want from your sport, or the results you are looking for. So, yeah, it has been difficult, but at the same time, I have been process-driven, I have tried to follow the same routines I used to follow earlier. At the same time these things happen; there are good times and bad times, these are phases that come and go. That is fine."

Further, Hardik mentioned that he has gone through such difficult phases in his life quite a number of times. Thus, he never takes success for granted and keeps moving forward. Moreover, mentioning that these times generally shape the skill set for the better, Hardik added:
"I have gone through these phases many times and I will come out of it as well. I don't take my successes too seriously. Whatever I have done well, I have forgotten about them immediately and moved forward. Same with difficult times. I don't run away from it. I face everything with chin up. As they say, this too shall pass. So coming out (of these phases) is simple: just play the sport, accept that (you need to) maybe get better at your skillset, keep working hard - hard work never goes to waste - and keep smiling."
Coming to his personal life, for a few days, rumours were rife that Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic were heading for divorce, and the latter would take away 70% of the cricketer's property as alimony. All of this started when the diva supposedly deleted (reportedly archieved) her wedding pictures and dropped 'Pandya' from her IG username. However, now the diva has finally restored them all. While scrolling through her feed, we noticed the same thing, and it seems like everything is finally going well with the couple. But no official statement has been given from their side.

Earlier, a Reddit user stated that Hardik and Natasa met in 2019 and had a casual fling. However, the model got pregnant with their baby, and they gradually became serious and decided to have an intimate wedding. The post also mentioned that the couple didn't have a grand wedding at that time due to the COVID-19 lockdown. However, the same user claimed that Hardik and Natasa voluntarily decided to spread the divorce rumours as part of their PR strategy to whitewash the image of the cricketer, who faced social media scrutiny for taking over Mumbai Indians' captaincy from Rohit Sharma. The post even stated that the couple would not get divorced.
