The Indian Women's Cricket Team for the first time took the maiden World Cup Trophy home in November 2025. They historically etched their names after defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the ICC Women's World Cup Finals 2025 at the match held at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. Now, did the Indian Women's Cricket team post winning the match went to the ashram of Premanand Mahraj to seek his blessings?

An old video of Premanand Maharaj meeting Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and the other players of the Indian Women's Cricket Team has surfaced on social media. The video that has resurfaced has shown them going to Premanand Maharaj's ashram in Vrindavan and were seen bowing down and taking his blessings. However, the publication's report states that it is an old 2024 video that has resurfaced on social media.

What did Premanand Maharaj tell Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and the rest of the Indian Women's Cricket Team?

There have been reports stating that the clip of the  Indian Women's Cricket Team visiting Premanand Maharaj's ashram was recorded earlier. However, there is no confirmation about the same. Well, in the clip, Premanand Maharaj was seen asking Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and rest of the Indian Women's Cricket Team of what could he do for them. They said that meeting him for them restored their faith and wanted to be blessed. He said that keeping a good character, staying away from bad habits was important to drive the nation. Premanand Maharaj said:

"Jo apna charitra pavitra rakhta hai, vyasan se door rehta hai aur utsahi hota hai, woh duniya ki kisi bhi unnat shikhar tak pahunch sakta hai. Sab bachiyon ko Sri ji ka prasad udao and sabka swagat karo. Sabse prathna karte hai joh vyasan jsike jeevan mei nai hota. Jiske acharan pavitra hote hai aur utsah hriday mei nirantar hota hai. Woh laukik parlaukik seema tak jaa sakta hai. Yeh stri ya purush ka farq nahi hota."

Premanand Maharaj was humble enough to ask the Indian Women's Cricket Team of how he could serve them. Further in the video, it was a moment of proud feeling as the Indian Women's Cricket Team was helping in making a name for India. He did emphasise on the fact that it was important that they were contributing towards the success of India and shared:

"Hamari gun, shamta hamare rashtriya ke liye. Bharat ka naam juda hua hai. Aap jeete bharat jeeta. Aapko charitra pavan, utsah surakshit koi jeevsn mei vyasan nahi aap rashtriya ki seva kar sakte hai. Charitra pavan kisi ka adheenta nai. Kisi bhi vishay se Bharat ka mangal hona yeh hamare Bhartiyo se hai. Aap Bhartiya hai."

Well, fans on social media have linked the resurfaced clip to India's earlier win of the men's team T20 World Cup back in June 2024. Users have highlighted the spiritual side of the players and shared that it showcased their connection to faith which was way above the game. However, it is interesting to note that reports claim that the clip is not the latest and that the players were told to stay away from all the bad habits and also be devoted to the nation.
