According to a report by Gulte, Rashmika, during her speech at the success party of The Girlfriend, shared how special the project was to her. She talked about many things, and it was her appreciation of Vijay Deverakonda’s support that stole the spotlight. She mentioned that the Dear Comrade actor was there from the very first day of The Girlfriend. In fact, Rashmika expressed her gratitude and said that everyone has a Vijay in their lives. She was quoted as saying:

"Last but not least, Vijay ... Vijju has been a part of this film from the very beginning, and today he's here at the success meet too. For me, he's part of this whole journey. I can only hope everyone has a Vijay Deverakonda in their lives, because that's a blessing."
