Vivek Oberoi is a renowned Bollywood actor who has won hearts with his comic timing and strong screen presence. Over the years, the Masti 4 actor has grabbed the limelight on both personal and professional fronts. Currently, Vivek is making headlines for a noble cause. For the unversed, Vivek has several projects in the pipeline, including Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited Ramayana. The epic drama features an ensemble cast including, Ranbir Kapoor, Sunny Deol, KGF star Yash, Sai Pallavi, and more. Vivek, who is also part of the cast, will portray Vibhishan.
In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Vivek shared that he told the producer of Ramayana, Namit Malhotra, that he didn’t want any money and wanted to donate it to a good cause, like children fighting cancer. He also told the producer that he wanted to work with him and support him because he liked the project and was pretty confident it would take Indian cinema to the global stage. He was quoted as saying:
"I told Namit that I don’t want a penny for this, I want to donate it to any sort of cause that I believe in, which is kids with cancer. I told him I want to support you because I just love what you’re doing, and I think that this will take Indian cinema on the global stage with a bang."

In the same interview, Vivek shared his experience working with the film's cast and crew and highlighted the battle Ramayana has been facing for ages. Vivek later mentioned that he has a couple of days' shoot left. In his words:
"There is always the battle between whether Ramayana is mythological or historical, we believe it is historical, and it was great working on it. I was so happy and it was a lot of fun working with the whole crew, Namit, Nitesh, (actors) Yash, Rakul (Preet Singh). I still have a couple of days shoot left."

Further in the interview, the Masti 4 actor expressed that he believes Ramayana will be the best answer for India to big Hollywood epic films. He also lauded the producer, Namit Malhotra, and director, Nitesh Tiwari, for taking Indian cinema to a global platform. Vivek added that since the team is working with a company that has won several Oscars for VFX, the epic drama will set a new benchmark for Indian storytelling on the global stage. He was quoted as saying:
"What Namit (Malhotra, producer) and Nitesh are doing is that through Ramayana, they are truly taking Bhartiya cinema to the global stage. Ramayana is going to be India’s answer to Hollywood epics. It helps that they are associated with a company that has won almost seven to eight Oscars in VFX, and they have already done such iconic stuff. To take in a truly Indian rooted epic, it can’t get bigger and better than Ramayana, and to actually take it to the global sphere, that’s what’s exciting."
