Hema Malini is living the most beautiful time of her life at the moment. After reigning gloriously in the film world across decades, she has now taken a step back now and has been flourishing her alternate career as a parliamentarian. Moreover, she is quite settled in her personal life as well. For the unversed, the veteran star is married to Bollywood’s legend, Dharmendra, and they are parents to their daughters, Esha and Ahana. Recently, Hema reflected on her and hubby, Dharmendra’s life at present.
In a recent interaction with The Times of India, Hema Malini talked about her darling husband, Dharmendra. She lauded him for showing incomparable zeal for life at the 88, and remarked that the veteran actor reflects unbelievable enthusiasm for his work as well as takes fitness seriously for all his roles. She mentioned:
“Dharamji’s whole life has been in front of the camera, and he loves his work. He is passionate about movies which is difficult to find in actors today. He stays fit and does what’s required for a particular role.”

In the next segment of the interaction, Hema Malini reflected her own journey in the film world to date, and expressed gratitude for being able to keep up her image of the iconic ‘Dream Girl’ even today. She added that having completed so many innings in the film industry thus far, she now continues to keep herself active through travel and dance. Dropping hints about making a comeback anytime soon, Hema said:
“I am happy that I have been able to live up to my image of being a Dream Girl. I have had a wonderful innings in the film industry, working with great directors. I keep myself active with travel and dance, I want to look good and fit. Even today, if a good role comes my way, I will take it.”
Concluding the interaction, Hema Malini opened up about spending quality time with her husband and family members. The actress remarked that she is living the most beautiful phase of her life with her husband and her daughters. Moreover, Hema added that her grandchildren give her immense pleasure at this stage of her life. In her words:
“I am grateful that Dharam ji is always there with me. I am now also a grandmother, and I am thankful to my two daughters who have given me five grandchildren. What else do I need? They are the ones who gives me happiness.”

In an older interaction with the Stardust Magazine, Hema Malini opened up about an unheard anecdote from her marriage with Dharmendra. She talked about their courtship days and remarked that Dharmendra used to fight with her every morning for some trifle reason. Thereafter, the two of them would patch-up soon after.
