On December 3, 2025, a video was shared online, which claimed that it was of Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol, who were immersing Dharmendra's ashes in Haridwar. Reportedly, they were also accompanied by Karan Deol. However, hours after the video went viral, some viewers pointed out the absence of Hema Malini in it. For the unversed, after Dharmendra's death, multiple viewers suspected a rift in the family, as the actress always organised separate functions for her husband. And the recent absence has only intensified the rumours.

For those who don't know, after Dharmendra's death, both his wives held separate prayer meetings. Dharmendra's second wife, Hema Malini organised a Gita paath and bhajan sandhya at her Mumbai home, which was attended by close friends.
