The veteran actress, Hema Malini, never misses a chance to take a trip down the memory lane and make her fans nostalgic with her social media posts. Time and again, we have seen her sharing old monochrome or unseen pictures of her parents and her family from the good old days. However, this time around, the 'Dream Girl' of Indian cinema dropped a timeless picture of her daughters to mark National Girl Child day, along with a heart-melting note on her IG handle.
Hema Malini had tied the knot with veteran actor, Dharmendra. Since their marriage, there has been no looking back for the adorable couple. Hema and Dharmendra enjoy a happy married life and are among the most-loved on-screen couples in Bollywood. They have given many hit films, one after another and won our hearts. For the uninitiated, the couple is blessed with two daughters, Esha and Ahana and their grandkids, Esha Deol's daughters, Radhya and Miraya and Ahana Deol's son, Darian and twin daughters, Astraia and Adea.
A few moments back, Hema Malini took to her IG handle and shared an unseen throwback picture of her with her husband, Dharmendra, and their daughters, Ahana Deol and Esha Deol. In the monochrome photo, we can see Ahana and Esha enjoying a piggy ride on their parents' back, happily posing for the camera. Along with it, she penned a note expressing how proud she is to have two daughters in her life. Hema wrote:
"Today is the celebration of the girl child. So proud to have my two daughters in my life. #daughter #celebration #girlchild."
For the unversed, Hema Malini was born to late V.S. Ramanujam Chakravarthy and late Jaya Chakravarthy. Time and again, we have seen her sharing unseen pictures of her parents from her memory lane. On January 3, 2022, Hema Malini had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a series of pictures with her late mother, Jaya Chakravarthy, from the beautiful time they had spent together. The picture thread had featured some solo pictures of her mom from her younger days, and it had showcased an unreal resemblance between the mommy-daughter duo.
Along with the pictures, Hema Malini had penned a lovely note in the caption of her post, in which she had called her mother 'my sheet anchor'. Her caption could be read as:
"Remembering my lovely mother, my sheet anchor who is still guiding me from above. She was easily the main strength of our family, a veritable power house who was respected by all in the industry. We love you Amma and miss you so much. #bestmother #rememberingmom #mothersblessings.”
On January 14, 2022, Hema Malini had taken to her IG handle and had shared two pictures from her rasoi while checking on the traditional Pongal dish, kheer, a porridge made of rice, milk and jaggery, posing for the camera with a big smile. In the picture, Hema could be seen looking beautiful in a baby pink-coloured saree. Sharing the photos, the 'Dream Girl' had written in the caption:
"Celebrated Pongal with the family today. Here I am making the pongal at home."
On the other hand, Hema and Dharmendra's elder daughter, Esha Deol Takhtani, had also celebrated Pongal at her home with her family. She had taken to her Instagram handle to share a cute Reel, where she could also be seen preparing the same traditional dish as her mother. Esha had celebrated the occasion with her daughters, Radhya and Miraya, and had screamed 'Polgalo Pongal' as they were preparing the dish. She had written a beautiful caption to it while sending warm wishes to her followers, which could be read as:
"As the country celebrates the harvest festivals of Sakranti, Pongal, Bihu and Uttarayan. I always make pongal at home for my family (a tradition I learnt from my grandmother) sweet pongal is a favourite with my kids and we all love screaming together 'polgalo pongal' as it's being cooked. Sending warm wishes to you and your loved ones. Stay blessed."
