However, of late, the actress has been receiving a lot of flak on social media as she ignored a fan's request for a selfie.
Hema Malini recently attended the launch of Gulzar’s biography, Gulzar Saab: Hazar Rahein Mud Ke Dekhin, in Mumbai. During the same, she was surrounded by paps, who clicked her pictures. Hema looked beautiful in a white-hued printed silk saree which she accessorised with a handbag and temple jewellery. However, when an enthusiastic fan approached her for a selfie, the veteran actress reportedly ignored the request and moved on without acknowledging them. Hema was heard saying:
“Selfie lene ke liye thode aaye hain."

Hema Malini's video quickly caught everyone's attention, and netizens are expressing their disappointment and frustration over the same. Many social media users criticised Hema for allegedly snubbing a fan's request to click a selfie with her. While one user penned, "Another Jaya in making", another commented, "Muh kitna ganda banake rakhi h."

The following day, Hema Malini took to her X handle and shared a series of photos from her grand birthday celebration. In one of the photos, she was seen having a candid moment with her darling husband, Dharmendra at her birthday bash. In yet another picture, Dharmendra and Hema were spotted unable to take their eyes off each other as the camera captured the priceless moment. Sharing the pictures with Dharmendra, Hema penned:
"16/10/23 was indeed a platinum day in my life and the birthday party at the Aurika Hotel in the evening was a big success. Dharamji’s presence throughout was my blessing."

Hema Malini is an evergreen beauty who can give intense competition to any contemporary actress. Earlier, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, she talked about her age and mentioned that even she can't believe she has turned 75. Sharing the secret behind the same, the actress mentioned that age is just a number, which depends on how you look after yourself. Hema added:
“I am 75 today, I can’t believe it myself! But age is just a number. It depends on how you look after yourself, if others are inspired by the work you do. That’s life. I do the work that I get, spend time with my children and grandchildren. Life is beautiful.”
