Dharmendra and Hema Malini's daughter, Esha Deol has ended her marriage with her businessman-husband, Bharat Takhtani. For the unversed, the duo parted ways after almost 12 years of marital bliss and are blessed with two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. The news of their separation created a stir on the internet, but reportedly the Deol family was already prepared for it.
Days after Esha Deol's separation from her husband, Bharat Takhtani, an insider told Zoom that the duo's divorce did not surprise anyone in the Deol family. If the report is to be believed, the differences between Esha and Bharat were brewing for a while, and they decided to part ways sometime back. However, they were only waiting for the right time to announce the news. The source stated:
“It was brewing for a while. Esha and her husband had decided to part ways for some time now. They were just waiting for the right time to announce their separation. Now that it is out of the way, Esha is trying to move on with her life.”

The source further added that Esha’s mother, Hema Malini is in support of her daughter's divorce and does not want to talk about it. The veteran actress has always been with her daughter and will continue to do so, but she would not meddle in her personal life. The insider added:
“She is certainly not commenting on her daughter’s decision to divorce her husband. It is Esha’s life and Hemaji will not meddle. She never has. She is with her daughter now, as she has always been. But Hemaji is not accountable for her daughter’s actions.”
In 2020, Esha Deol penned a book titled Amma Mia: Stories, Advice and Recipes from One Mother to Another, and an extract from the same is going viral on the internet. The particular piece talked about how Esha's businessman-husband, Bharat felt neglected after the birth of their second daughter. Miraya. She wrote:
“After my second baby, for a short while, I noticed that Bharat was cranky and irritated with me. He felt that I wasn’t giving him enough attention. It is very natural for a husband to feel this way because at that time, I was consumed with Radhya’s playschool fiasco and feeding Miraya, and I was also between writing my book and dealing with my production meetings. So, he felt neglected."

During their first interview together, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani candidly opened up about their love for each other. The actress revealed her husband did not want her to put on any weight and also called her 'gharelu'. In a conversation with Filmfare, Esha compared herself to her mother, Hema Malini's character, in the film, Satte Pe Satta, as she was the first daughter-in-law in the Takhtani family of seven cousins. She also recalled that her mother advised her to wake up before her husband and help her mother-in-law with household chores in the morning.
