It is the happiest time in the Deol family as actor, Sunny Deol’s elder son, Karan Deol is all set to tie the knot with his girlfriend, Drishya Acharya on June 18, 2023. Karan and Drisha got rokafied on June 12, 2023, in the presence of close family and friends. Amid all the celebrations, a lot of questions have been asked whether Hema Malini will be a part of Karan’s wedding.
A close source from the family informs that Hema Malini will not attend Karan’s wedding festivity as she has kept a distance from the Deol family for a very long time. Elaborating on the same, the source stated:
“Hemaji has always maintained a dignified distance from Dharamji’s first family. So, no she is not attending. Even asking this question is ridiculous.”

On the other hand, the source has also informed that Sunny Deol, like a dutiful brother, has sent invitations to Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, and the half-sisters might mark their presence at Karan and Dhrisha’s wedding.
Karan and Dhrisha’s engagement took place on June 12, 2023. For the ceremony, Karan's fiancee, Drisha donned a monotone golden-hued saree and teamed it with a sleeveless blouse. She ditched the heavy jewellery and opted for a dainty neckpiece. Her look was accentuated with subtle dewy makeup and hair left open. On the other hand, Karan looked handsome in a blue-toned kurta with a contrasting Nehru jacket.
For the inversed, Dharmendra got married to Prakash Kaur in 1957, and despite that, the actor married Hema Malini after allegedly converting to Islam, so that he could keep his two marriages. Dharmendra purchased a new home for his second wife as it was quite clear that Hema wouldn’t live in the ancestral home where Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur and their four kids, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta Deol and Ajeita Deol, were living.

According to several reports, Hema Malini had never stepped inside her husband, Dharmendra’s ancestral home, where his first wife, Prakash Kaur, lives with her kids. Even Prakash Kaur has never entered Hema Malini’s house, and they have always maintained a distance from each other. Even after 43 years of their marriage, Hema never allowed her daughters, Esha Deol Takhtani and Ahana Deol Vohra, to enter the premises of their father, Dharmendra’s first house.
