Himanshu Malhotra Opens Up On Wife, Amruta Khanvilkar Blocking Him 6 Years Ago, 'Mujhe Unfollow Kia'

A few years back, strong rumours were doing the rounds that one of the famous celebrity couples of the tinsel town, Amruta Khanvilkar and Himanshu Malhotra, had choppy waters in their marriage. This was because the Marathi actress had blocked her husband on the social media feed, and this had stunned the fans. Indeed! Being a star is not a cakewalk, as they are always under the media and fan glare. Now, Amruta's husband, Himanshu Malhotra, has lately readdressed the issue of his wife blocking him six years ago.

Whenever a celebrity makes a post, controversies and gossip are created among the fans. Now, Himanshu in a recent interview with Filmibeat Prime, opened up about how more than six years ago his wife, Amruta, not just blocked him but also unfollowed him. He revealed that he was in the middle of a shoot, and she wanted to talk about something. However, she lost her cool and made the most impulsive decision of her life. Himanshu shared:

"Blocked bhi nai mujhe unfollow kia tha. This was around. Mei shoot kar raha tha and she wanted to talk. We had an argument at that point of time, and then gussei mei aake Amu being impulsive. I was in Rajasthan shooting. It was a 7-8 day shoot. In 2015, I got married. Uski baad ki baat hai, and at that point of time that happened, and uss samay baat hoh nai payi. It never happened after that. I think impulsively bhi kuch cheeze ho jaati hai."

Himanshu further added that one person, after some time, realises that their current situation cannot determine the future of their relationship. Himanshu's wife, Amruta, did unfollow him, but years later, they are still together.

Earlier, in an interview with the Bombay Times, Amruta opened up about why she had blocked Himanshu on social media. She did not even leave his contact and blocked that too. Her fans did judge the nature of their relationship as they had found her behaviour to be concerning. Amruta had revealed:

"I realised how childish I was when I unblocked his number the next morning. Himanshu said that he kept calling me the entire night, but could not get through. It was a spur-of-the-moment act and I didn’t realise that it would lead to speculations about trouble in our marriage."

The actress further revealed that she had blocked her husband because she wanted to have a long talk with him. However, he kept giving her the reminder that he had a 5 a.m. shoot for which he had to sleep. Amruta had opened up, saying that as a person, she is not good at expressing her feelings. Amruta did not dare to tell him that she missed him, as he had hung up on her and in the heat of the moment, she blocked and unfollowed him. Well, all is well that ends well. The couple has been living together for many years and in the past have won the popular dance reality show, Nach Baliye. They were also seen together in an adventure stunt-based reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 10.
