Himanshu Soni of Neeli Chatri Waale fame married his long-time girlfriend, Sheetal Singh on November 27, 2015. The wedding was a grand affair which had many television celebrities in attendance. Here, we bring to you the beautiful wedding story of this lovely couple.

They met back in 2013 on the sets of TV series, Buddha. Sheetal Singh was a co-producer for this show. The lady did not say yes to him immediately after he proposed and took her own sweet time. In Himanshu’s words:
“When the enlightenment sequence came in Buddha, I popped the question and she accepted my proposal only when the show got over. I am happy that I found my soulmate in her and my parents have supported my decision.”

The couple enjoyed a lavish destination wedding at a heritage property in Jaipur. It was a three-day celebration with close friends and family in attendance. His close friends and co-workers Rohit Purohit, Gaurav Sharma, Rishina Kandhari, Rajesh Kumar, and Mithilesh Chaturvedi, from the television industry, were present at his wedding. It was one grand affair, and the rituals took place in a typical Rajasthani style. The guests were seen enjoying the hospitality of Himanshu’s family.

The haldi was held on the morning of November 25. It was a quiet affair with only close family members in attendance. The bride and groom matched their attire, and both were seen sporting yellow. While Sheetal wore a yellow suit with a net dupatta, Himanshu was seen in a yellow kurta pyjama.
The next day saw the mehendi ceremony. While Himanshu wore a blue kurta pyjama with a forest green jacket, Sheetal wore a green anarkali suit. The guests were seen enjoying themselves and were posing for selfies. The venue was decorated very nicely and the couple too indulged in clicking selfies. It was followed by a mela party which saw the guests having fun while shooting balloons with rifles and there were also other traditional mela attractions. The marriage took place on November 27. It started with a traditional South Indian wedding early morning where Sheetal wore a green and orange Kanjeevaram saree, and Himanshu wore traditional South Indian attire, a kurta with a dhoti.

It was followed by a royal wedding in the evening. The groom looked resplendent in a golden sherwani with intricate embroidery. Sheetal looked no less than a queen in an orange lehenga, complete with heavy jewellery and beautiful makeup.

Talking about the guests, TV actor Rajesh Kumar who is more popularly known as Rosesh Sarabhai, said:
“We have known each other for last six months. But it seems we know each other since ages. We got a good break from shooting and we enjoyed his wedding a lot. Himanshu is a really nice guy and I wish him all the happiness in life with Sheetal.”
Actress Rishina Kandhari, who attended the ceremonies said:
“I know Himanshu for a long time and I am Sheetal's friend as well. I was first invited by Sheetal and couldn’t decide if I should go from bride’s side or the groom's. Eventually, I decided to go from the bride’s side. Jaipur is breathtakingly beautiful. Unlike the hot Mumbai weddings, the nip in the air during this time of the year is refreshing.”
Actor Gaurav Sharma, Himanshu's closest friend, was thrilled at the wedding and said:
"I was attending a friend's wedding after almost three years. Himanshu is my bestest friend. We know each other since four years and have become like brothers. Himanshu is a friend who is just a call away. We both know each other in and out."
