Hina Khan had made her television debut in 2009 with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Rocky Jaiswal was serving as the supervising producer of the show. That’s where the two had met and had fallen in love. Talking to India Today Online, Rocky had recalled what had made him fall in love with Hina and had said:
"We met on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for the first time. What attracted me to her was her dedication to her work. I have seen a lot of actors, but she is one of the smartest of the lot. It is almost unreal if you find a person who's so honest all the time. She calls a spade a spade every single time. And that's the most important thing I love about her. Besides, she is the prettiest woman in the world."

Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal had started dating each other in 2014. Hina had left the show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai after working for 8 years in 2016. After that, she had appeared as a contestant on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi season 8. In one of her gloomy days, Hina had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture, and had beautifully captioned it as:
“#throwback #memories #missingspree I would absolutely kill to see u right now @rockyj1 to hug u, to talk to u.. missing u terribly.. plz com n see me soon.. let's do some stunts together in Spain missing missing missing missing missing u”.
Rocky Jaiswal had arrived on the sets of Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 when Hina Khan was feeling homesick. Rocky’s sudden appearance on the show just after one Insta post from Hina, had got the ball rolling and people had started speculating that there was something brewing between the two. Later, when she was asked about her relationship with Rocky, she had said:
“Rocky is very special to me, no doubt. We are best friends”.

Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal's fans always wish to know more about their love story and bond. In August 2020, Hina Khan had hosted an 'Ask Me' session on her Twitter handle, to address her fans' questions. Amidst the fleet of questions and admirations, a fan had grabbed the opportunity to ask her about her love story with Rocky. A fan had asked Hina, "Mam I love Rocky sir, but who proposed first, you or Rocky Sir." To which, Hina had given an honest reply and had said:
"No one to b very honest.. things just happened on its own."
Well, maybe Hina Khan was talking about the proposal that had happened way before her stint in Bigg Boss 11 before she had made her relationship with Rocky Jaiswal official. We all remember the big proposal by Rocky Jaiswal for Hina Khan on national television. When Hina Khan was a contestant on Bigg Boss 11, in one of the episodes in which the contestants’ family members had to appear on the show, Rocky Jaiswal came inside the BB house and had proposed to her. Eye-to-eye, he had said:

Post-Rocky Jaiswal’s proposal, everyone wanted to know if their parents approved of their relationship as they belong to different religions and cultures. In a media interaction, Rocky had happily revealed that yes, he and Hina, have each other’s family’s approval. He was quoted as saying:
“Families were already aware of our relationship. They are extremely close to each other. In fact, I too am very close to Hina's family, so nothing shocked or surprised them. Families are very happy that we don’t need to keep our relationship under the wraps anymore”.

Ever since Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal’s relationship came under the radar of the public eye, everyone just wanted to know the answer to the big question of their marriage. Both are successful and love each other deeply and madly, so what’s stopping from tying the knot? In an interaction with Tellybuzz in 2018, when Hina was asked about her wedding plans, she had said:
“No, not at all. If anything happens, it will be marriage which I've already said won't happen anytime before 3 years. I don't understand why can't they do without making news that includes me. This is nonsense”.
In a 2021 interview with the Hindustan Times, Rocky Jaiswal had shared his wedding plans when asked if marriage is on the cards. He had said:
"We’ve been together for a good number of years now and have been through all ups and downs that a couple can possibly see after marriage. Mentally, we’re there."
Rocky had further asserted that he and Hina do not wish to get married just to get the societal tag of a husband and a wife. Stating the same, he had added:
"We don’t want to do something for a societal tag and just to be official about it. It doesn’t make sense to us. Even after getting married, I’ve seen that people aren’t close to one another, and then what’s the point of getting married.”
Rocky Jaiswal spilt the beans on the fact that they are enjoying the space they share with each other and have no plans of getting married as of now. He had said:
"We don’t have any kind of inhibitions about each other. That gives us the liberty to expand and move ahead in our careers to see where it leads to. We think that there’s still time for marriage. Eventually, we’ll get married but that time is not now.”

It was in April 2021 when Hina Khan's father had taken his last breath as he had suffered from cardiac arrest. Her beau, Rocky Jaiswal was close to her father and had played an important role in holding her family together. In an interview with Zoom Digital, Rocky had talked about how Hina's father's death had affected the actress and her family. Stating the same, he had said:
''I can't find enough words to tell what she went through. Not many people know that she, I think, was devastated. She was shell shocked as anyone would be. Somebody like Hina who has been so close to her father, her father has handled everything in her life. And Hina was treated like a princess by him."
Rocky had also mentioned that it was heartwrenching for him to see Hina in such a devasted state. He had added:
"It is just so heartwrenching to see her go through this. If she was her father's daughter, she is also her mother's daughter. And I must say both of them are very strong. Slowly and gradually, but very strongly they endured everything. They have come to this point whether they can at least go out. But when it happened, it was devastating for her and expectably so."
Rocky Jaiswal had also stated that even he was very much disturbed hearing the news of Hina Khan's father's death as he had shared a very close-knit bond with him. He had shared:
"Even I was so affected because I was also close to him. We had so many conversations and chats. He and I used to talk about everything under the roof. Everything."
