HIT: The Third Case is a 2025 Telugu action thriller film featuring Nani and Srinidhi Shetty in key roles. The film was released on May 1, 2025, and recently has been released on the OTT platform Netflix. So, let's take a look at how much the OTT giant paid for the digital rights of the film.
The HIT: The Third Case has the audience glued to their seats, first in the filmy world and now in the comfort of their homes. The film is not a regular cop-versus-criminal story but something that digs deeper and messes with your mind while also leaving some jaw-dropping surprises on the way. After a long wait, the film was released on the OTT platform, Netflix on May 29, 2025.
HIT 3 was released on the OTT platform in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. However, everyone has been intrigued to know how much the streaming giant pays the makers for the digital rights of the film. Well, if the report by OTTPlay is to be believed, Netflix has paid a massive cheque of Rs. 54 crores for the film.
With a jaw-dropping paycheck of Rs. 54 crores, HIT: The Third Case became Nani's highest-paid film on the OTT platform. Previously, Nani's Saripodhaa Sanivaaram held the title with the massive cheque of Rs. 45 crore, followed by Hi Nanna at Rs. 37 crore and Dasara at Rs. 22 crore.
Produced by Nani and Prashanti Tipirneni, with music by Mickey J Meyer, HIT 3 continues to attract attention. The film revolves around 'SP Arjun Sarkaar IPS, HIT Visakhapatnam' essayed by Nani. A ruthless cop who committed a heinous murder and was imprisoned for an unspecified crime. However, during his stay at the prison, he is saved by a fellow inmate, 'Samuel Joseph', who is essayed by the ace actor, Ravindra Vijay.

Nani's intense role as the cop, combined with a hint of unhinged characteristics, is a complete entertainment package. As he is sent off to Jammu and Kashmir to investigate a series of brutal, eerily similar murders, it will be interesting to see how 'Arjun' will be able to chase the killers while also making sure that the skeleton or two in his own closet, remain hidden. The story swings between high-octane action, buried trauma, and a web of secrets that keep unravelling one shocking thread at a time.
Director, Shailesh Kolanu returns to his gritty storytelling style, and with Mickey J. Meyer's moody background score and Sanu John Varughese's sharp visuals, the film delivers a punch both visually and emotionally. The mid-credits scene introduces a new police officer in Chennai, 'ACP Veerappan IPS', who discovers a body hidden in a truck at a checkpoint, hinting at HIT: The Fourth Case.
What are your thoughts on the massive paycheck paid by the OTT platform for HIT: The Third Case's digital rights? Let us know.
